    Default Patterns Suck.

So, I had been watching Blacklist. I was really enjoying it for like 3-4 episodes then I noticed that EVERY episode is the same.

    1. Someone dies.
    2. They investigate it.
    3. Someone else dies, but they almost stop it!
    4. They hunt the baddie.
    5. Baddie dies.

It's not just that show but there are many that have a pattern that doesn't differ much from episode to episode.

Pretty much so EVERY season and EVERY episode of Supernatural is the same.

It's annoying. After I notice it i'll watch another episode just to verify then it's pretty much so dead to me.

In Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D almost no one dies. You might enjoy that, I didn't.

Oh, I don't care if people die. I just hate it when every episode is the same.
It doesn't seem to happen as often if there is a well developed metaplot.

Im also amazed that marci has almost 10k posts consisting of one line douce-spones.

What the hell did you expect? Did you decide to turn on your TV for the first time in your life and watch a TV show?
90% of TV shows out there are like that. All of them have patterns.

Go watch CSI: Miami/New York/Las Vegas

Marci, we all get it. You get off on being a douche.
Maybe slow it down a little though so you seem a little less retarded.
    90% =/= ALL

But, yeah. TV pretty much sucks. Unless I am watching in zombie mode things tend to annoy me.

It really depends. An overall shoddy show can't be saved by jumbling up it's premise. Look at
Columbo or Star Treck: Every episode the same, but still good writing/acting that makes the most of it.

There are some shows where I can easily overlook it. Southpark, the Simpsons, Futurama; They all have tons of repetitive parts in them, that just get reheated for the occasion.

However I like shows most for their original parts. It doesn't have to be the mighty boosh, but just because you can label shows like The Killing as a murder mystery and know 90% of the plot, doesn't mean that it isn't one of the top five shows I have ever watched by my judgement.

    Stay frosty.

Due to the internet and the possibility to construct your own program, I'm having a great "TV" experience mind you.

you know why everyone was ranting and raving about breaking bad? cuz it was legit good, watch it. or twin peaks or the wire or something.

also i'd say 90% of everything sucks. but you have the internet, so it's real easy to get that 10%

You don't lose anything skipping Lost. It might be intriguing at first but it's just a pile "dafuq?" later on and by the end of the series nothing what you've seen will make any sense.

The writers had a delightful habit of coming up with interesting mysteries before coming up with the answers to said mysteries. I think they expected the character drama to distract everyone long enough so that nobody would ask questions.

Although I quite liked the show.

The first few seasons of Lost were awesome, i watched the last ones because I wanted to know. Now I wish I had stopped before the end because of how poorly they finished it.

The best series start to finish that I have seen is Prison Break.
I would recommend it before Lost any day.

Prison Break is really good in first 2 seasons. Season 3 and onward is just same old recycled bullshit just in a different prison.

How about 24, have any of you watched it, and is it worth the time?

Isn't it being brought back for a "12" episode season? lol
I've been Sutherland fan since Young Guns but with 24 I dislike how they split screen every 3.7 seconds.

I haven't watched Breaking Bad but honestly I love finding a good show after it has ended. I get to watch at my own pace.

I also need to try American Horror Story.
