    Default Sternum Pain

    Hey guys,

Ive been having this pain at my sternum (right in the middle of the chest) for almost 2 months now. I cant do push ups, sit ups or anything that give pressure around my sternum area.

Sometimes it hurts there as well when sneezing. I think i had this injury from doing a heavy benchpress, not so sure.

Anyone had something like this before? Is there a way to speed up the recovery? Other than just resting?

    Thanks

If it's a concern you should seek medical assistance from a licensed source.

Seeing as your chest is pretty much cartilage, it could be an injury like a tear. Just goto the doctor though.

Stop doing heavy benchpresses. Don't slouch for six hours in a row. Make sure your bed is not made out of concrete. See a doctor.

Would seeing a doctor really helps? Because i dont want to end up seeing the doctor just for some consultation, painkillers to eat and waste money.

or discover something later that its life threatening, and should have been treated earlier.
Pain (usually) is your body's language of saying: "dude something is wrong"

Had that when I was doing too many pushups with insufficient breast muscles to support. Nothing serious, but it can take a decent time to heal completely. See a doctor to get proper advice. Most likely though just try to avoid strain on the injury and don't power through insane reps, before you have built the support structure, after it's healed.

    Stay frosty.

This happened to me when I was figure skating and wasn't working out to keep up with the physical demand of the elements I was performing. What Ronin said is 90% likely to be the case.

You have to be able to support the work outs you're doing. You are bad at working out.

Step 1: Visit a real doctor.

Step 2: Visit a gaming forum to ask for medical opinions.
