Ask phenoca about it. He definitely has the most experience in it.
OMFG, 90% done, I was like, "yay"... but then RADIO BUTTON QUESTION AFTER QUESTION!
That was hectic. I completed it as honestly as I could however... God, that took some time.
I had a couple in Audition, but that was just because I wanted to see what was in the couple shop.
I have a few notches in my belt due to online relationships from video games. I've been in multiple ones that have lasted 3 months, 6 months, even up to a year or longer. Ragnarok Online in it's prime was a hot bed for relationships. I played the game since beta and my longest online relationship was 3 years. We have met a lot IRL during my teens and our parents developed a friendship. But here's the twist! I was in the states and she lived in England. Our parents allowed us to stay at each others places during vacation times. I stayed dedicated but the relationship eventually fell through because the distance was finally too much for her to handle and she ended it.
3 years was a long time running but hey, it was a lot of good memories. I believe relationships in video games can work. Friend of mine met his wife from a Korean MMO we played called Talesweaver. He lives in Boston and she lived in China. We haven't talked for years and when we finally caught up, I found out that she moved out of China, flew to Boston, got married to him, and now they live together.
Online relationships can work. It requires a lot of patience and dedication from both people in order for it to work.
