    Default Harvest Moon

Anyone play these games? It's probably one of my all-time favorite game series. I first came across the series right after I had got my PS1 and my dad bought me Harvest Moon: Back to Natureat a pawn shop. Later on, I spent most of a summer playing Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life(So far my favorite game in the series) on my gamecube with my best friend at the time. I also played Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland on my PS2, although the game never really clicked with me, unfortunately.

Recently, I've been playing A Tale of Two Towns via a DS [REDACTED], and it's been a lot of fun. Honestly, it's been rekindling my love for the games to the point that I want to buy all the consoles the games have come out on (And will come out on), and start building myself a Harvest Moon collection.

I plan to buy A New Beginning once I get my 3DS here in the next couple of weeks. I also plan to get the next game coming out (also for the 3DS), Linked the New World. I'm not sure how I'll like the game, but honestly there's not enough info and I wont really know until I actually play the game either way.

And yeah, I know this post looks like an advertisement by now. I just have some free time and felt like making a post, plus I always enjoy it when people link info about a game they're talking about so I figured I'd do so for you all.

Anyone else play the Harvest Moon games? How do you feel about them? Are you excited about the indie Stardew Valley, which is pretty much based on the Harvest Moon series of games?

Aside from the relationship building, I could never really find anything to like about Harvest Moon. Plant stuff, smash rocks, fish, get you crops demolished by a typhoon, blah blah.

I had a friend who was super into it though and watching him freak out about getting golden crops and such used to make me laugh.

I've been wanting to try out Rune Factory as well, but haven't gotten the chance. Looks like it would be quite fun.

I LOVE Frontier , the only game i played the longest on the Wii . Like close to 2 months .
there is also Rune factory Tides of Destiny but that doesn't really center around farming much , mostly fighting . Frontier has them both balanced and the pet companion helping system is amazing , just catching a pet and setting it to clear the rocks or weeds from your field after you build the barn for the pets . Also you can upgrade your house and craft weapons .

Sadly when you get married in the game and your wife gives birth to a boy or girl , she or he just follows you around and doesn't age . At least they could have made the kids grow till they were the main characters age not just a tiny toddler following you .

There are so many features in this game that it just keeps you magnetized to it for days.

I got the game Harvest Moon for the BGA just to try it. Then my little sister got hooked and it's my fault. Good thing I still have my desktop and PSP.

I love Both Runefactory and harvest Moon great series I must say my allt time favorite is Harvest moon for Super Nes and I still have my original copy. That said it made me super sad when I learned that Runefactory 4 for 3ds will not be relased in EU im gonna import it some day when it goes down in price or else it will be to expensive with the 40dollar import tax my shit country has.

I played a couple of them. I remember playing the original GBC version, boy... brings back memories.

And yes, I am eagerly awaiting Stardew Valley.

Only plays Burst Magic DPS Classes and Healers.
    Playing MMO: FFXIV (Ragnarok)
Waiting On: FFXIV:Heavensward, FFXV, KH3, Tree of Savior ∑ Saving For: An Epic Computer
