I have a pair of the original X31's. I love em. Good quality sound, and they let you play without pissing off everyone you live with at 3 am.

Gaming headsets are generally really poor value for money, speaking purely from a sound quality perspective. If people desire to pay more for gaming headphone features, then that's absolutely their choice, and doesn't immediately seem like a wrong one to me.

There are some neat features and aesthetics of gaming headsets, and I don't mean to sound like I'm ripping on people for spending money on them.

However, at $47, it's not really going to matter, I can't think of any headphones for around that amount which will get any significant increase in sound quality over Turtle Beaches, at price you're buying for features, and accepting reasonable quality.

So, for that price, it's absolutely a good idea.
On nights like tonight when no one's around, I turn off the lights, and I float off the ground.

And I smile like I used to when you were around.

Some models can tend to be a little on the heavy side. I recommend checking on the weight before buying. I bought a set of Z2s last year. Great sound quality in and out but I couldn't wear them for over 5 minutes without getting a nasty headache.

What's the point of getting headsets with surround sound when there are software like the Razer surround.
