Imagine if very f2p mmo out there became pay to win. of course pay to win is a bit of a vague concept but lets say EVERY mmo out there began selling powerful items for cash - so that only players who spent money began winning in pvp.

if this happened, would you still play the f2p mmos or do something else with your time? or would you just play p2p mmos? what is your money and time situation like?
Be warned - I am a major player of Regnum Online the mmo. I've been playing it for about 2 years and rarely go without logging in at least once a day. You can also look at good alternatives to Regnum such ase Aion online and Aika Online.

Depends on if I had a proper job. Because then it'd be fun if you were paying and winning... Lol.

Funny. You put 'F2P' and 'Pay2Win' as if there's no stark difference.

Inherently most, if not all, P2W games tend to miss a fundamental point when online games are concerned. The balance that is claimed by most is an illusion and the model only promotes one thing... Spend spend spend. Totally forget it's a game.

So basically the same situation as now except that League of Legends is P2W too?

P2W doesn't really stop me from playing games, y'know. I have enough money to spend I just want to know if it's worth spending money first and without time pressure, that's why I prefer F2P over P2P. Only thing that turns me off in an item shop are time-limited items. If I buy something for real money I want to keep it forever.

    I don't care about PVP, and thus don't care if it's pay2win.

Only plays Burst Magic DPS Classes and Healers.

Pretty much this unless it's one of those games that has something completely retarded like forced open world PVP, which if that were the case I wouldn't even bother playing the game, P2W or not.

yes.. i don't think there is much to stop LoL from going pay to win once the playerbase had enough money (edit: oh, except for esports scene as mentioned below). Imagine an even bigger boom-time economy or once the playerbase grows up more. the only obstacle would be people's idea of fairness, and im not sure that obstacle is very huge.

As other have said before, depends on the focus of the games, PvE or PvP.

LoL will not go p2w because then it will destroy their esports scene.

I'd have to put on my disappointed face.

But I'm not a competitive gamer anymore, so long as it didn't bar me from non-competitive content I could care less.
