I remember getting invited into the closed beta, but not even being able to play because of bugs. I wonder how it was.

But if we're also including mmos that did come out and ended up being awful. LOCO is probably mine. That original cgi trailer got me so hyped up but man did they blow it big time with that game.
Not exactly a cancellation, cause it was released for a few years before it got closed, but I'm going with FFXIV 1.0. Back then it was funner, even though the gameplay was complete crap. The community was awesome, and they actually cared about your skills before equipment. Now it's just a generic mmo in FF style with people screaming for others with a high item level, even for dungeons that don't even need more then 50...

it's not -technically- an mmo, but Spore looked so good before EA wrapped their slimy tentacles around it and strangled it into a freaking children s game to the point that the original game and vision might as well have been canceled out right. It's like asking for Donald and Goofy at your birthday party as a child and instead getting Dolan and Gooby...
