    Default Thoughts on Dragon Nest?

Hey guys I'm a bit bored atm, I remember Dragon Nest was pretty cool when it came out. Is anyone still playing it and is it still receiving love from the Dev team? If not, or you think I'm wasting my time. Whats another cool game to play? I think i prefer the action type of gameplay - like Tera but thats not needed.

    Thanks guys

Dragon Nest got a lot of updates the past years so it's not dead just yet. Though I heard that are now working on Dragon Nest 2, so it will probably be replaced eventually (but it might also just end up a failure and 1 remains the active one like with Ragnarok Online).

It still gets updated so I guess someone must be playing it. I'm going to wait until the male assassin comes out though. Which should be in the next couple of months.

Dragon Nest is well alive. The folder is almost 7Gig now. And with a new patch, it may eat more space on my desktop. And don't worry if you're bored. We all go through that. Here's a pic on what I do when I get bored playing Dragon Nest (note. This pic is a bit old, when my character is still a lowbie):

    I climb buildings in-game.

You need to know that Australia is IP blocked from DN SEA. You are stuck playing on DN NA, which is getting 70 cap in a day or 2. I wouldn't recommend playing NA.. It's laggy, full of disconnections, and pay to win. SEA is at least enjoyable, but sadly we can't play it.

.. It was never the 'only' version.

First was KR (which I still play), then JP (played it briefly in its Open Beta in early 2010), then CN (played its OB but didn't play its CB because I didn't care for the CB process), then NA (CB in June of 2011), then SEA (CB in July of 2011), then THAI, then INDONESIAN, then RUSSIAN, then EUROPE.

NA also released before SEA despite what most people are told. NA released in September, while SEA released in October.

Well yeah of course, I meant before NA and EU versions where running. Not talking about CB but full release. Though I guess the NA version existed a bit later because everybody on forums complained how NA has a so much better and cheaper item shop than SEA.

SEA version. ^^ Have fun with the new Assassin class!

PS: NA cash shop isn't that much cheaper (if even) than the SEA cash shop.. SEA has more functions that cater to those that cash up often, but that's just a bonus. NA people can't trade/store costumes and many other cash items, while SEA can. They also don't have things like the random cash item for using magnifying glasses thing. Lastly, NA only has 800 daily and 500 weekly FTG, while SEA has the traditional 700 and 1000 (totaling 400 more FTG on SEA weekly).

As far as I remember, NA costumes can trade now, as long as it's permanent. I remember reading something like that when I tried it out and only played till lvl 25 lol.

Only the Rare costume pieces (not weapon costumes) can be traded. The only way to get the Rare costume pieces is to combine costumes using the Synthesis tablets and get lucky for it to become a Rare one. All other costumes are not tradeable including Wings and other things, and none of them can be stored in the Warehouse (sharing between characters on same account is impossible). NA hasn't changed much at all in that regard..!

Maybe you can try softwares like Private Internet Access or Hidemyass.com to mask your IP address.

But hiding your IP is not allowed so you might just end up banned eventually and can't continue playing. That would suck too much for me to be worth the risk. Might as well play on the version designated for my country.

I'm really not sure how the prices are these days but back when I played just expanding inventory on SEA was like 15€ per page, while in US it was more like a third of that price.
