Default Achaea's new intro quests are freakin' immersive

Wheee, Achaea finally put in brand new newbie intro quests, and they're super fun compared to the old one. As an old player since like 2001, I always felt the newbie quests were bland and not very welcoming to the game, but super thumbsup to the devs on these new ones.

"Upon creating a character, players undertake the first part of our new storyline, "Escape from Miba." There, they are isolated from one another and learn the most basic commands like getting around and attacking things. This functions exactly like the current intro, but is much, MUCH shorter.

The second part of the storyline, "The Cultist's Conspiracy," puts the player, who is now level 5, directly into the "real" game. They continue learning the basics of Achaea while investigating a plot that leads them to various newbie areas and their home city (if they belong to one), before culminating at Great Rock. They are guided through this part by the new TASKS system, which replaces the old orientation tasks.

When newbies are finished with the intro, they will have reached level 10 and should have clothes, a health vial, and either some basic weapons or a mana vial, depending on their class. In the near future, we will implement a new "city novicehood" training system that will continue teaching new players about Achaea in a free-form TASKS-based system and bridge the gap between the intro and joining a House. For now, though, when new players finish the intro they are given more tasks and are urged to join a House.

We invite you to try out our new introduction (for the full experience, try it via our HTML5 client (http://client.achaea.com))"

It's rather funny imagining my Lizard alchemist swinging a net around catching butterflies haha.

They just put in server-side curing which will makes things ALOT easier for newbie players. If anyone wants to get into this game, here's a quick run-through of your options as a newbie.

    Classes:
Alchemist: Enigmatic figures wielding the power of the ether.
    Apostate: Evil, necromantic daemon summoners.
    Bard: Swashbuckling troubadour adventurers.
Blademaster: Masters of the legendary Two Arts.
    Druid: Forest-loving metamorphs.
Infernal: Evil knights employing necromantic methods.
Jester: Happy-go-lucky pranksters and rogueish entertainers.
Magi: Masters of the four elements and crystalline vibrations.
Monk: A class that forges mind, body, and spirit into a unified whole.
Occultist: Chaos-loving summoners of extra-planar entities.
Paladin: Noble knights wielding dual weapons with a falcon companion.
Priest: Holy warriors with a fearsome guardian angel by their side.
Runewarden: Mystic knights who employ runic lore alongside their swords.
Sentinel: Metamorphing forest rangers with animals for assistance.
Serpent: Masters of venoms and subterfuge. Perhaps the trickiest class.
Shaman: Mystical users of Vodun dolls, curses, and runes.
Sylvan: Forest-lovers who meld in mastery of the four elements.

    Factions:
    Ashtan: Chaos
    Eleusis: Nature
    Targossas: Good
    Mhaldor: Evil
    Cyrene: Neutral-Good
    Hashan: Neutral-Chaos

    Races:
Tsol'aa : Eldest of the mortal races; created by Sarapis.
Dwarf : Created by Phaestus, given souls by Sarapis.
Human : Product of the rape of the Aldar Maya by the Unnamable Horror.
Troll : Product of unions between human women and Gruul (captain of Prospero's mercenaries of Arn) and his Arcanian elite forces.
Mhun : Evolutionary off-shoot of Humans.
Atavian : A race of Humans who long ago were granted wings by Vastar, allowing them to fly.
Rajamala: Tiger-men that fought at Nishnatoba under the command of Agatheis.
Horkval : insectoid race that fought at Nishnatoba under Aegis.
Grook : An amphibious race of high intelligence.
Xoran : A lizard-like race. It's said that powerful Xorani can breathe fire.
Siren : A race of beautiful humanoids, Sirens are able to make males fall in love with them.
Satyr : Satyrs have the upper bodies of men and the legs of a powerful goat. Often jovial, Satyrs are fond of parties.

The best classes for bashing are Monk, Druid, Sentinel, Runewarden, Infernal, Paladin, Priest

All of the classes are pretty decent for PK, though Monk, Occultist and Sylvan are currently the power-houses.

Races don't really matter since each race has different stat-packs you can choose, so races are more of an RP choice.
