Default Why Buy a Wii U?

Really. Why would anyone buy a Wii U at this point? Sure it is the cheapest current gen system but it's also the weakest. Most of the AAA "multi-console" games aren't available.
In 2014 the Wii U's launch list is slim, with only a hand full of exclusives.

Sure, there are a few gems that are a blast to play but ultimately there just aren't that many good options.

My wife and I really wish we had done a bit more research before buying ours last year.

Do you think there is any hope for the Wii U or even Nintendo in the console war?

Super Smash Bros. 4 (it doesn't have a title yet but it's coming)! If it's ANYTHING like Melee then it SHOULD be good. Then again, Nintendo managed to ruin Brawl.

No. They fail to recognize that children don't want to keep playing Wii Fit their whole lives. I stopped being a Nintendo fan when the Wii was released with only one game that I wanted to play. Which is sad because I was a huge fan on Super N64 and Gamecube.

Xenoblade, Xenoblade 2 / X are the only ones I'd really play on a Wii U, so yeah, it's up to you.

Tales of Symphonia was released on PSN (Both games), so that's not really viable.

Same. I stopped playing DS handhelds/etc. as well because not as many games I liked were coming out.

Only plays Burst Magic DPS Classes and Healers.
    Playing MMO: FFXIV (Ragnarok)
Waiting On: EverQuest Next, FFXV, KH3 Saving For: An Epic Computer

Had fun with my Wii, have more fun with my Wii U. Plenty of games on both, guys. Take another look.

What type of games do you guys like btw?

Bah, embrace them they are your friends!

Nah I can understand how you might not like them, hell I originally didn't even like Phantom Brave. It was one of those games I bought and played for a bit and didn't care for until I gave it a serious second chance and then it just clicked with me.

Serious though, if you like straight up turn based RPGs, get Arc Rise Fantasia.

I'm fine with Action RPGs as well, like Tales, Star Ocean, Kingdom Hearts. Only real RPG I'd get on Wii / U is Xenoblade series, if I could find them.
