Default Rumble Fighter is closing down.

    http://rf.ogplanet.com/en/main.og

    Dear Fighters,

With great sadness, we regret to announce that OGPlanet will officially be ending service of Rumble Fighter and shutting down the game's servers, effective as of May 23rd, 2014.

Despite our continued efforts, we were unfortunately unable to negotiate a continued service of Rumble Fighter with the developers. This deeply saddens us as over the past years, we have done our best to negotiate with and convince the developers into resolving technical and server issues, as well as shaping the game to be more fun and enjoyable for the users.

Rumble Fighter's Astro Shop will officially close on April 2nd, 2014, and after the game's closure, Astro refunds will be offered to all players who purchased any of Rumble Fighter's in-game items with Astros on or after February 2nd, 2014.

We would like to sincerely thank all who had the opportunity and pleasure to play Rumble Fighter during its time at OGPlanet. It has been an amazing and wonderful journey for everyone on the Rumble Fighter team over these past six and a half years and the game will be deeply missed by all.

As a thank you to our wonderful players, all Rumble Fighter players will receive 10,000 Rumble Fighter Astros on April 2nd, 2014, with which you will be able to purchase any in-game Astro items and continue to enjoy playing the game until the closing date. We will also be holding fun events to make these final moments memorable. After the game's closure, all Rumble Fighter GMs will be moving on to Tales Runner, so hopefully, we will see all of you there to start another long lasting legacy.

The Rumble Fighter team feels both privileged and honored to have been given the opportunity to service this game to such a dedicated and passionate community. It has been your commitment and dedication to Rumble Fighter that has helped make OGPlanet what it is today. We look forward to seeing you all in OGPlanet's other fantastic games for many years to come. With the release of Tales Runner coming later this Spring and a new, high adrenaline, Action Shooter coming this Summer, OGPlanet's lineup of games continues to evolve and grow, constantly offering players a strong variety of gameplay and a superior gaming experience.

From the Rumble Fighter team and everyone here at OGPlanet, we cannot thank you all enough for your years of dedication and support.

    Rumble Fighter Team
I'm kind of surprised to be honest. It had quite a long life (6 years AFAIK) and seemed to have quite an active community.

Even though I never played RF much, I've gotta say that I'm a bit surprised, as well...

Yeah, I didn't play it much either. I mean it was a good game but I was never a fan of fighting games to begin with.

Rumble Fighter, Lost Saga, Survival Project and S4 League were the best Action MMOs I've played until Dragon Nest came out.

Yeah... I was mainly warded off from RF due to horrible lag and the community.

But how I feel about RF is similar to how I felt with Trickster Online shutting down. As was discussed in the relevant threads regarding TO going away, the community was quite active and committed there also, and so I imagine the cash shop was also very fruitful. If I recall correctly, TO only died because Ntreev's contract was up.

I'm not sure if it's a similar case here, but unlike TO, I'm not familiar at all with what's been going on with the state of RF.

Apparently, the new host is going to be GameCampus.

Kinda surprised that OGPlanet is has to give Rumble Fighter up. Had some good times with it. Might play a few matches for old time sake.

I played it a bit last year. I really don't have anything negative to say about it. Fun game.
I would have been surprised if it had actually been closing. Switching publishers/hosts? No biggy.

Switching publishers after 6 years of service is sort of a big deal, particularly when it seems to be an issue with the developers. Can't say it will do great with the new host.

I lost any respect I had for OG after what they did with Lost Saga. A game that had so much potential yet every publisher uses it as a cash grab. I guess I can't say to much as I don't know exactly what the developer was expecting out of them so, who knows.

They had Rumble Fighter for a long time. I wonder if the developers just got tired of servicing RF or if they were just not happy with the service OGplanet was providing. If only we could get a bit more details sometimes when the publishers announce the closing of a game. Of course there not going to put any fault on themselves but who knows what goes on behind closed doors.

I don't think Rumble Fighter will last much longer with switching hosts and all but I guess we will have to wait and see. In my opinion Lost Saga was the superior fighting game but they due to making it so gear dependent it lost all challenge in my opinion. Would have been a bit better if gears were just a bit different. Some of them just made me laugh at how simple they made the game.

Regardless, good luck to the new publisher and maybe the long time fans will stick around even after it moves.

I'm surprised it hasn't been brought down sooner. RF has been a pay to win steaming pile of shit for years. I remember playing very early on after it came out and it was so horribly imbalanced, it made Lost Saga's look completely fair. As far as I can recall, most if not the majority of RF's community was made up of BRs which would explain why they're so hostile to like every new player.

Very sorry to hear this because I know RF has very dedicated players.
On the other hand, this might be good news that they're going to focus more on TalesRunner, which is something I'm very glad OG got to bring back to NA.

But I feel a little hurt because a lot of rf fighters were playing the TalesRunner beta talking about how much they really enjoyed rf.

OGP is really sinking as of late. Alot of games have retired over the past 2 years with OGP and now we can add RF to the list.

RF was one of my startup games I played since signing up for OGP.

My games I played on their included BB Tanks, Albatross18, Cabal, Rumble Fighter, and Lost Saga.

Wonder if OGP should count their losses and just merge with another major company.

If you are not playing the game, then you are letting the game play you.

I'm a active rumble fighter player and i will tell you some reasons RF is closing. Hackers, many players been getting their account hacked alot recently and we can't show proof because we have no idea who did it and how it happen. And OGP doesn't have a helping hand for those who get hacked so a lot of players will just quit. We been getting DDoS attacks also that actually forced us into a lot of unscheduled server matience. But a lot of people are getting the wrong idea that RF is closing down because it's bad community, It's a competitive game there will be a lot of trash talking. But as a whole it was ran nicely by OGP we had weekly events and every two weeks there will be new content. GM's fought to keep the game but honestly the best decision was for RF to move on to a new game for a new experience and expand our player base which is a mid high. Hope everyone understands

it sounds like if it moves to gamescampus, they will delete all the character files first. that's just really tragic -- the dying screams of a million charactrs will sound it makes me really sad. anyway, gamescampus is also buy to win. which makes me sadder actually :/
Be warned - I am a major player of Regnum Online the mmo. I've been playing it for about 2 years and rarely go without logging in at least once a day. You can also look at good alternatives to Regnum such ase Aion online and Aika Online.
