    Default Mad at America

I know I am going to sound like an ass but I am fairly annoyed. The wife is 5 months pregnant and we just really looked at the expenses. Without complications, if everything goes peachy from conception through delivery medical expenses are estimate to be at least $15,000. Even with insurance that's really going to suck.

What really annoys me are the people shooting out a new baby every year. People who don't want or take care of the kids properly. Their irresponsible behavior isn't punished, it's paid for by the government.

I personally know a woman who has 6 kids(+ 2 miscarriages.) She uses meth, drinks, smokes, even had one of her babies while incarcerated. All paid for by the government.

Did I just become a Republican?

You tell me. Would you rather not have any quality controlled foods, public roads, medical care, schools, military, police force and the likes? Seeing as how anti-So******t Republicans are, apparently they love being on their own. At least, you know, until they need to shop at the grocery store and don't want to eat lead filled foods, drive around, go to the doctor, give their children a proper education, be protected from foreign forces or rely on officers when they are victims of a crime. So really, the question is, are you insane and/or retarded? If you said no, you're most likely an independent.

The right to have kids is one of the most important rights of all.

In what way do you want to control it?

There is no more complete form of oppression than taking the right to have kids away from someone.

    My 2 cents:
What's next? Just stop letting the "vermin" get to the food and the problem solves it's own?
Living in a state that tries to commit "passive genocide on the poor" is never worth it.
Money doesn't play into it at all.

There's this thing called contraception but I nearly forgot that a lot of Americans sees that as something that would put you in hell or something.

Being poor shouldn't automatically disqualify someone from having children. Being an irresponsible f*ck should.
Those can go hand in hand if for example you don't use some type of contraceptive while you're living in a crack house.

I agree with the government giving a helping hand to people who are doing the best they can. Hand outs are another story.
I really don't think the guy making meth a few miles away from me should have better insurance than I do at no cost.

    I don't understand.

Is the problem the crack, or the children?
Is it the meth, or the insurance?

The fun thing about those first Bioshock games is, that even if you take out the whole magic stuff, you get something that people actually believe would be describable as good, just and fair.
That is supposedly "being better off". Actually in the Us there are so many of them that at least at night you better be scared about going outside in a city. Gj. I like my police nice, my streets safe everywhere and all the time, my "I haven't seen a civilian carrying a gun all my life", my medical costs covered since always way of being...
    Have fun in Rapture.
(Pro-tip: Stuff there will still cost exactly the amount of money you can afford to fork over for it.)

Being irresponsible is the problem. Doing stupid sh*t and the government paying for it is the problem.

The government funding the results of irresponsible pregnancy is comparable to paying for an alcoholic's car maintenance.

    Brilliant smokescreen.

How responsible is it to make scapegoats out of anecdotes?

$15,000? That is pure insanity. I live in Canada, and when I had my daughter, we did not pay a dime.

Yea, but just think about how many countries Canada could invade at the same time, if it stopped spending money on giveaways like that. Just imagine how that would be changing the world. Too bad, that lazy idiots who can't take care of their own health are to lazy and stupid to just avoid any chance of accidents.

Oh come-on! Most US tax dollars go directly to the military. If you want a say in politics then become a giant corporation and make several billion dollars. Then you can have your say.

Aw shucks! All of those free visits I took to the hospital could have gone to fund drone strikes! I feel the guilt, man...

I think he was being sarcastic. He's too smart to post something that stupid.
Too bad it has to be 100% to one extreme.
There are people who actually need and deserve assistance. Then there are people leeching off the system who don't deserve anything.
The latter are the ones who piss me off.

    With a grain of salt.

The thing is, if you run a company, to use that as an example, sooner or later one of your employees with hiring-competence will hire an alcoholic, or one of the worker will start drinking. That one will live with the risk of getting found out every day. You will not increase the productivity by adding "non value adding" campaigns to seek out drunks. Actually those smart drunks that don't get found easily, do so because they barely hurt the company. The dumb ones are so obvious that they are basically firing themselves.
We have a saying where I grew up, "when you dress wood, you'll see wood-chips fall". Moochers are kind of the exception to the rule, that proves the rule. As long as the system works that is. Any working system will attract moochers, which will in term be found out to a certain extent or not.
The question is "do you trust the system", the idea of well fare and state sponsored assistance in the current shape or not.

The moochers topic imo is way too emotional. Cheapshot populism can make it's run on short term emotional response, but it's manipulative, because it does talk one way and act in another (blame moochers, get rid of all of healthcare benefits).

Well, you know all that PC centrist talk, we all know the drill.

Just now, I like my politics boring, labeled and shelved, so that I can move on to something enjoyable. Gladly your kid is fine and taken care of. That's what counts. Sure it's a awfully large pile of cash, but don't fret, at the end of the day it's just cash.

If your really really think; This is going to god dam far! Well in that case, probably you really want to cast your vote for the GOP in any elections that might come.

If that makes you salty.. just avoid my part of the country (Los Angeles). We're paying over $300k for a city councilman to get legal fees covered due to an affair he had with one of his staff members. Meanwhile they've said it's officially too expensive to fix the horrific potholes in the poor sections of town.
