They are few and far between. There were a few I was really looking forward to but were either cancelled or never received an english release.

Good luck finding one (out of the current ones) that you like. A lot of people really liked Atlantica but it's been year since I've even looked at it. I'm not sure how Pay to Win it is or even how the community is doing. Since it's free, you could at least give it a try though. No harm there.

Dofus or Wakfu are the best turn based games on the market right now.

Dofus being the eldest brother with a lot more content and Wakfu being the relatively newer sibling with more potential but not nearly enough substance.

Yeah atlantica online is the only FF style turn based mmo I know of. I havent played it myself because I don't like the artstyle. Wakfu is a great FFT style mmo.

Wakfu honestly sucks, if they would've stuck with the V2 style of Wakfu that game could've been great but instead they scrapped it and created whatever that pile of garbage it is now. I've heard a lot of people love Dofus, I haven't been able to get into it myself but it may be worth trying.

Yep, Atlantica Online. There's another turn-based MMO, it was waaaay back, it was an anime/cartoon kind of MMO. I forgot the name though. I think it was at its prime at the same time as Ragnarok Online.

I'm still upset that this game got cancelled. The beta was absolutely amazing. This is the only other Final Fantasy style MMO I can think of other than Atlantica, personally.

Nah the game wasn't cancelled, I just remember it being turn-based. It was more of cartoon-ish than anime really. I can't sleep lol. I'm gonna research on that.

I tried it out a while back, it's pretty bland and not as fun as the first one. I dunno if the servers are still active though.

Just a heads up about atlantica but once you hit lvl 100 (which is really easy to hit), the grind starts to really kick in and to top it off most of the quality mercs in your party are either high lvl required to use or cash shop. I played it for about a year and only hit something like lvl 118 before it got far too time consuming as a free player to play.
