I have a problem where low volume sounds are completely cut out by my realtek sound driver. No, I don't mean when I use my microphone. This happens even when no communication program is active. The realtek sound just cuts off all sounds that are below a certain thresh-hold, no matter how high my sound volume is. For instance, watching clannad Anime, during moments where no one talks, and there's no real music, I cannot hear the ambient birds, city-scape noises of the scenery. Of course, when someone talks, I can however. But only when they talk.

Is there some way to disable this feature of realtek? I've had this on many motherboards in the past, and seems to only affect realtek. (No, the communication lowering done by windows is set to "Do Nothing." Don't ask me to change it.)
