Ewww, I know most of you guys are full-PC geeks, but the specs on this sucker are ugly. GC2000 GPU is worse than a Mali-400MP4 which came out in 2011. The i.MX6 Quad is worse than or equal to the Exynos 4th generation processor. Which is slower than pretty much every modern processor on the market. I can get a TV box from china with the RK3188 (Read: Pretty much Exynos 4412 with slight overclock) for $61.30 on Aliexpress. That is under half the price of the best CuBox. They could have went with a RK3188, Allwiner A31s, Tegra 3, or even the Exynos 4412 and the system would have been a lot better.

If they really wanted to rockout with their virtual cocks out then they could have sourced some newer generation processors like the Rockchip RK3288, Allwinner A80 Octa, Exynos 5th Gen, Snapdragon 800 (801/805/810) or a Tegra 4. Pack it with 1GB, 2GB, and 3GB ram for each model.

Would have also loved to see a Baytrail tiny box. That's a full on x86/x64 machine.

I have the feeling Raspberry Pis are better in terms of hardware (especially in learning coding languages and extra attachable hardware for that) and general support. :/

You should get the same one I have then, if you want a mini PC.

lololol, no. Even the CuBox has Raspberry beat in terms of hardware. There is a reason why it's (Raspberry) $25/$35 and this is $100+.

EDIT: To expand: we're talking about an Arm 11 chip (2003) vs an Armv7 (Last generations/still current chipset. Hopefully being replaced by the Armv8 & BIG.little; not to be confused with Arm 7)

Zombie barely said anything why so I assumed it was for his programming stuff. Especially since he mentioned in chat he'd just hook it up to the screen and SSH to it.

With hardware I meant stuff connectible through GPIO.

If it can run a linux os, a compiler and some other console based tools it'll do me fine. That's all I want one for really.

Not trying to play BF4 on the damn thing.
