Default Instant action + huge scale combat

Hi all! I'm looking for MMOs that don't require leveling up (like in Guild Wars 1 when you can start in PVP mode) but you can acquire skills and gear later, you can start fighting other players right (or almost) from the beginning AND participate in huge scale fights like the Battlegrounds in World of Warcraft (I know some battlegrounds aren't that big in players, but for example Alterac Valley is one of it). I am aware of the W vs W vs W fights in Guild Wars 2, so you don't have to recommend that. Now, I know that most FPS games are basically "instant action", I need you to recommend games which are mainly in a fantasy/ sword and sorcery setting. Only recommend MMOFPS or Modern/Sci-fi games like Planetside if there is no other idea that comes to your mind. Optional: the classes should be (somewhat) balanced.

Be warned - I am a major player of Regnum Online the mmo. I've been playing it for about 2 years and rarely go without logging in at least once a day. You can also look at good alternatives to Regnum such ase Aion online and Aika Online.

Well, I have checked out every one of what you suggested, but are there really no fantasy/sword and sorcery type games which feature Battleground or Guild vs Guild (or maybe Realms vs realm combat like in Guild wars 2) combat? If I did not define it like it should have, I define it now: I am good with realm vs realm combat, and I am aware of GW2 that does that, but I only want you to exclude GW2, not other realm vs realm games. I'm saying this because I did some searching and found that Regnum Online and Aika may be good options but don't know how much they would satisfy me. Any other suggestions like those? Kingdom Under Fire 2 is korean and involves much grinding, so that is pretty much excluded also I don't want to be bashing lots of mobs, I want to go up against other players.

Well you said MMOFPS which does not really fit to "fantasy setting".

I guess Dragon Nest is closest to what you're looking for. You don't start max level, but have to level up, but all the stages are instance-based and the combat and generel gameplay is really good and fast. It is fantasy setting and has really good arena PVP (has team matches - see here for more info: http://dragonnest.gamepedia.com/PvP).

    Elder Scroll Online ?
It has most everything you're looking for. You still gotta do lvling, though you can join the battleground right at the beginning.
It's WNxPyrZern. Pleased to meet you.

I said, only recommend MMOFPS if no other fantasy MMO comes to your mind. Big difference.

Anyway, it seems my options are very limited. I'm going to have to try some f2p ones myself.

If Dragon Nest isn't for you then I guess your best option are private servers if you really don't want to level up and just want to jump right into the action.

You probably won't find many commercial games that remove grinding alone because the whole payment concept of F2P is to get player wanting something faster and paying for it and if you give the player everything except playing skill then there's no reason to buy much from the item shop, so even if someone would release such a game out of pure good will, he will probably go bankrupt quick.

The only reason it worked for Guild Wars was because it was a fairly low budget game and used the B2P payment model.

However, some games occasionally use "start at max level" advertisement campaigns, you could wait for one of those.
