    Default Gw2

Hey all - GW2 is on special from May 2 - 11 with 50 % off price. I wanted to buy the Deluxe Edition and was wondering if it's worth it. I have been Hardcore (no pun intended even though I only play HC mode ) Diablo 3 and I want to try something else. Nothing seems to be exciting anymore and was wondering if GW2 is worth it?

Well I need to know what the excitement factor is? The only game that never really bored me was Diablo so I want something I could play for a while. Is there any negative thoughts about the game or are they mainly positive?

Perhaps the only "negative" thing about GW2 is the lack of the holy trinity. Other than that, totally worth it, even at full price.

Any other thoughts guys? I just don't want to spend the money and then quit a few days later... I don't want it to be one of those games where you "go get X" amount of X... go talk to X to turn in quest... etc.

Like other said there are no quests. You have to explore the world and search the quests you have to do. Every quests are open world and they don't start only for you, but they start for everyone in the zone and mostly are chained with other events.

The is a personal story also that you have to do in solo.
yeah, I know, tons of grammar errors. Sorry :-(

Almost everything you do in GW2 yield exp. Crafting, gathering resources, running around and PvP/WvW.

When I played GW2, it was pretty fun but it got stale quickly. I'm sure there is much more content out now since it's been out longer than a year. But when I first started playing it, it was really fun. I'm sure there is still a solid community there but not as big as an MMO like WoW or FFXIV.

Does anyone else feel this way? I heard a few people say that it gets "Stale" pretty quickly as well so I want to hear any other comments before I purchase the Deluxe Edition today - maybe purchase I should say.

Yeah it's pretty stale. The game is the same game now as it was when it was first released. All new contents are temporary and not permanent. On the road to 80, it's just running to different zones trying to complete the same thing over and over. Kill x, gather x, use x on this. However, there is no NPC to accept and submit quest. This essentially makes it the same as quests in other games, just in disguise. The game is essentially single player mode because literally everything can be done alone with the exception of dungeons. On your journey to 80, be prepared to see absolutely no one because every map is empty. I don't know how much the new megaserver will help but I doubt it because everyone is either A] level 80 and they don't bother with those maps or B] every new character is on the champ train for maximum exp on the 1st zone of one specific map.

That's my opinion of the game.

In the end whole game gets to the point where you farm to make legendary or you just do wvwvw or pvp.

Awesome feedback - definitely not purchasing now lol. I have about $100 to spend so do you guys have any additional suggestions? Was thinking about the Archeage founders pack but I didn't like it that much when I tried it last time. Any suggestions would be awesome!

Bummer... I am so bored and want to play something... just tired of lag spikes in Diablo 3 and losing my well-suited character on Hardcore. Won't ever play Softcore and haven't since D1 days so that is not an option. Thinking of going back to one of the MODS for D2 but I am leaving that as a last resort. I could go Archeage in hopes that it will get better but not sure... I also was over Path of Exile pretty quickly and got bored for some reason; even with the similarities to D2.

You should a t least give it a chance , its a unique game , pretty much the only one of its kind in the mmo world . If you're a dungeon runner freak like me you can run them as much as you want , if you like crafting [for me its confusing so i didn't craft once] people say its fun and easy to do , if you like pvp there are a lot of modes to play in , they also made a lot of easter eggs and secrets on the maps if you like exploring , it rewards you for it . There are huge open world bosses that people pile up to kill for the huge treasure box at the end . Its still not as advanced as GW1 but its still fun to play .

lol so some people don't like it so instead of watching some reviews and such he just says he won't get it now. why not buy a single player game or a couple? they are infinitely better then MMOs anyways.

Ill be honest... I can buy a bunch of SP games right now but the replayability factor is shot for me... I don't like a game where I don't play with others, where I can't trade gear (this killed me in D3), and no content updates ( I know some games have this but wouldn't entertain me for long). I know Dark Souls II is supposed to be good but games like that and Elders Scrolls are horrible to me. Games like Final Fantasy, Diablo, Torchlight, and Diablo 2 MODS are my ideals.

Still debating on that ultimate package for Archeage.
