theres alot of latency problems if your opponent is 5k miles away from you unless both of the sides have a good connection

Gone Talking To a Wall
woot about time, i was looking forward to playing DFO ages ago when nexon was hosting it. It was a shame it was IP blocked
Just as an update.
The general theory going around right now is that the alpha is likely to start at either:
6am Korea Standard Time, the time Fatigue Points and other daily events reset in Korean DNF, or
10am Korea Standard Time, the time that routine maintenances end in Korean DNF.
Naturally though I expect everyone to lose their minds when the channels go up so I don't suppose it matters.
As of typing this post it is almost 4:00AM Korea Standard Time.
Soo.. what's going on? are people playing?
It's up. IGN is Daeoc, I'm a Male Fighter.

Whats a good class for beginners i have never played dungeon fighter.
Still waiting, but while we're waiting, STORYTIME!
I first joined DFO during the Open Beta, where I (along with several others I assume) was screwed over by the horrible EXP curve. Nevertheless, I enjoyed playing my Ranger, despite having no skill whatsoever, and being severely underpowered due to my lack of a powerful weapon (Rangers were heavily weapon dependent). However, I eventually quit after much frustration with the grind. I eventually came back though and made what would be my main for the rest of my time on DFO, my Female Mechanic, Mechgamer (I wasn't so original with names back then). I would play on and off again and I nearly reached the at-the-time level cap of 60...Then they released Second Impact, raising the level cap to 70. Despite that, I managed to tough out the 10 new levels and reach the level cap of 70 (admittedly after they released the level 66 and 67 dungeons and with 2 level up potions I got from an event). I never did get the chance to try out Otherverse though because the severs were always so dead (something I hope to remedy with this relaunch). I did however solo the first 4 ancient dungeons on kings road and completed a few of the Hero's Road dungeons (while that was still a thing). I also got through a few floors of the tower of the dead, and completed the other two towers (always struggled with the altar of infinity and that other one that was released before DFO shut down though). I also tried out a few other characters during the jump event (including a male spitfire, a soul reaper, an elementalist, a male nen master and brawler, amongst a few others).
Sadly, though I loved the game, it was clear that the game was dying. Barely anyone was ever on (especially compared to open beta and the official launch), there were rampant bugs after every patch, alongside numerous extended and emergency maintenances with each major patch, not to mention rampant hackers and gold farmers ramping up the inflation on the auction house. The final nail in the coffin was probably when Nexon stopped updating the game for nearly eight months (at least how I remember it). I remember the mod on the Nexon forums saying that they weren't shutting down the game. And then it shut down. A few months later, I tried migrating to cDnF. I even tried out a female slayer and admittedly enjoyed it much more than I did my Female Mech (it probably helped that I had more than just an exploding robot to help me in the early Sky Tower dungeons). However, it was too much of a hassle playing on a foreign server, not being able to understand anything and suffering from a few bad lag spikes. I eventually quit, never actually finding much that could truly fill the void. Until today.
Well, nostalgia aside, here's hoping that Neople does a better job than Nexon ever did.
EDIT: IGN is Arkylos. Happy Gaming!

So... So happy. Just to hear all that beautiful music again. And holy crap it's even more packed than Nexon during release.

From dungeons and quests, or make them yourself if I remember correctly .
