Default Need some help in finding an MMO for me

So I've played a few MMOs the past few years, from WoW to Champions online I've tried a few and it seems like with every one I start off addicted and loose interest as time goes on, eventually quitting altogether. I'm trying to find a game that I won't get bored of. All the other games I felt lacked a feeling of exploration, it was just questing and dungeon crawling and while I don't mind questing too much I feel like I need something that'll have me explore as well. My first guess when I started looking around was Wildstar, it seems like it might fill that gap I'm looking for, but I'd like to explore F2P options before I go B2P or P2P. Any suggestions as to an MMO out there that could fit what I'm looking for? Thanks!

Man, that's difficult as most of the MMORPGs today are just quest-based. You know, the usual stuff. Kill me 20 of these, get me 50 of that, talk to this guy over there, etc. One particular game I have in mind for you is RF Online. In order for you to increase your skill level, you need to use them over and over again unlike the other games where you just need to spend skill points. I don't know if there is still an existing server of RF online though.

If you want, you probably could try games on BETA like what I do. If I find them interesting, I play them when they go live. At the moment I'm playing Eclipse War Online and Kingdom Under Fire 2. Then I'm planning to try Freestyle 2 later this week when the BETA servers goes online.

Oh, and that reminded me. Phantasy Star Online 2 is live now, you might want to try that.

There is daily quests now that you can get some nice exp from and recently got two new classes. You can get mirotic crystals which do all the killing for you if your not that strong playing something like an assassin. It has come along way since the early days when I used to play it. There is even this party quest thing now but I have yet to try that. Early on there is quests from Guide Ran which gives you free potions and gear to start off with. Also you can get a new piece of gear every 10 levels and later on every 5. There is survive or die which is also fun and it has full tier 5 skills now. Bless Castle for pvp lovers. You can get these phoenix pets which attack for you ect ect.

The korean version recently got a UI overhaul but the english version is yet to get that.

they overdid the crystal feature lol, it used to be a cool feature until it let u spawn monsters that 1 hit kill ****ing everything, leveling u like u do on a private server. the old pristontale was the good shit where mystic crystals were the best u could get, but also very rare

Level up wise it is still fairly harder than a private server even with miro crystals in my opinion.

Eclipse War players has gone down coz of the mass-ban the admins made after they found out that players are abusing a bug of sorts. Kingdom Under Fire 2 is on the Philippine BETA Servers. Not much PR is being made but the game looks promising. I saw a thread where KUF2 players are complaining about bugs. Sort of normal as the game is still in BETA.

Thanks so much for all your suggestions, ive looked into a lot of the games everyone's mentioned and am going to try them one by one to see which one fits what im looking for the most or whichever catches my interest and doesn't have me let it go. Can anyone tell me how Aura Kingdom is (good/bad), seems like its one of the few mmo's i havent tried along with eden eternal.

the only sea version capable of region blocking properly is maplestory though

other's just block people from downloads and don't block them via client, you sure playpark region blocks in their client?

Or you could try Maple Story.. Don't boo me I think you've played it at least once ? I suggest you give it another shot. Questing isn't much, as you require to do them at the first few levels to lift your feet. After about 1 ~ 2 hours of questing, you're on your own if you choose to. It becomes like a sandbox online game. This game's main purpose was questing, so it has millions of quest, but if you don't choose to do them it's fine because grinding is much faster and players in there often ignore the quest and purely grind with mobs. I'm like a lv195 in there without any lv30 and above quest completed and it takes only 2 days for you to reach lv100 if you know the right places to train. In the global server they have removed such cases that players who invest more into the game owns the game so it becomes fair to those who committed their time playing it. Mind you, that this game has a lot of friendly people as well as bullies. If you get someone to support you as a newbie in game, it's all good. Honestly speaking, the Maple Story community, disregard whichever server it is, it has no room for newbies. Well there is, but it takes quite some time for newbies to get used to the community there. Lots of systems and rules are created and followed strictly by the community. If anyone bullies you, they're most likely to be boycotted if you have the right connections to spread his negativity. People often go to PQs (Party Quests) where you party with about 4 ~ 6 people and it becomes like a dungeon based game. It's easy to level up but if you're looking for a way to shoot your level then it's not recommended if you're below the level of 120

Besides, there's a lot of place for you to explore too in Maple Story. Over 5 continents to explore. I live in the SEA region so I play the SEA servers. Embarrassed to say, but I've been addicted to it for 8 years now. Planning to stop for good.

Sounds to me you are looking for something a bit challenging than the usual stuff out there, but with more freedom to decide your course of action.

I have found this in Entropia Universe.

I managed to download it but I couldn't patch it because of the block and I live in Sweden. So it's quite the opposite of what you're claiming ? Where do you live and can you play it ? I'd love to see someone playing it outside of their specific regions.

Do you still play it on subagames? I looked at the classes that they list on the site and couldn't find the 2 new classes that you talked about in a later post.

Yea,they do all the announcements for the game on the forum now the announcement is fairly hidden though they didn't really make a big deal out of it
