    Default Possible bottleneck in performance?

hiya. so I was wondering if any of the hardware in my rig is causing bottlenecks in performance for the other hardwares?

    here is my rig build:

some of my friends said my RAM speed might be causing bottlenecks...while others say maybe the motherboard? I have no idea...kinda difficult to compare all the different performance stats for each hardware, so I ask the tech-savvy members here. Any advice would be appreciated

It's your CPU. I'm pretty sure it's at the start of bottlenecking your GPU.

    RAM speeds barely matter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWgzA2C61z4

oh I see. So the reason why I can't seem to play modern games past medium settings is due to my CPU hindering the performance of my GPU? Hmm...do you have a recommendation on a new processor then? One that is compatible with my motherboard that is....even though my mobo is hella old (around 6 years?)

I'm just afraid of being forced to replace all the hardware on my rig if I upgrade my CPU...as I don't have the budget to build a brand new rig yet.

You might as well replace everything really. AMD doesn't produce anything on the AM3 socket anymore. It's all FM2 or AM3+ (note the +).

You can salvage the RAM, GPU and HDD. I'd reckon the rest would be best for an upgrade though.

aww darn....alright. So based on my research, it seems Intel cores are better for gaming than AMD cores~

if that is true, then that means I need to get a mobo that is intel-compatible as well~ and what about my PSU? is 700W not enough? Do I need more juice?

I assume you got your PSU about 6 years back as well. It's going to fail one day and considering it's been a couple of years already, I wouldn't risk it.
