    Default Looking for a MMORPG

Looking for a MMORPG with the following features:

Not High-end graphics, my PC is medium at best.
Not triple A games, I hate those new hyped super ultra graphic games that features "nice" combat at best but are empty.
Looking for games with depths and balance other then "shine" and glorious effects.

games that I've tried and loved and might give you a sense of what I'm looking for :

    Maple Story
    Dragon's Nest
    World of Warcraft
    Age of Wushu
    guh...played so many games.

I don't care if the combat system is Click and wait.
and don't suggest AION cause that game's REALLY boring..
I hate that kind of graphics, I love anime/chibi/colorful graphics
doesn't have to be "omg so real"
I also hate instanced games (Dragon's nest succeeded in making it feel not as instanced)
I love open world, sand box's a good feature but doesn't have to be.
I've played so many games but I don't mind retrying games.
I just want a good game, with decent features, decent class system and character progression.
Combat is a bonus but it can be the simplest.

    To Hide Your Strenght

    ArcheAge has decent features.
    Guild Wars 2 is populated.
WonderKing is similar to Maple Story.

Wait for ArcheAge beta or buy a copy of Guild Wars 2. You can probably run it if you can run Dragon Nest.

Phenoca you should really check if a game is live or not, wonderking has been gone for ages... #under the rock life

Sdgo is a great 3d person shooter (it might be your first but, don't panic just give it a spin!) that also has meleeing options, robots with homing missles/megabeams aka no probleming hitting people. and also has lockon (right click to lock onto a target) the game has pve content but i play it mostly for the pvp, however i pve for quest rewards so i could earn more robots etc. what kind of game gives you a high tier unit for a quest reward??? this game gives you like 4 or so S ranks, that's really nice.

I play this game because of the fun gameplay and i really liked the gundam animation series, there are many good looking mobile suits, fair ammount of technics to master (isn't really required but if you master them, you could be unstoppable)

I also like the idea of gacha aka rolling a capsule machine for a gundam, collecting 400 or so mobile suits is fun, there are alot of events held in cherry credits sdgo so i hope you try it out some time!

here is a gameplay video berserkD has even more interesting videos so check his channel if you like.

i play on the worst pc possible so i turn everything off so it looks like this on lowest settings, too bad these were saved in jpg format..

if i turn on all the settings it looks like this

though i was still using lowest settings on my graphic card since it's integrated so this means it wasn't even on the highest settings

    http://sd.cherrycredits.com

here is a mirror download link because they block foreign ips from downloading but lets you play it
    http://edge.cdn.starhub.com/sdgo/ful...ntVer0_6_9.zip

the game is far from p2w but you can buy an S rank which is the highest tier with like 15 dollars or so but they don't automaticly win with it and it only takes a few days to build an S rank, i can use the worst C rank and kill most of the S rank users no problem. you also get around 3-4 free S ranks through quests. they also do alot of events so you should keep an eye on it.

here are some screenshots that i saved a while back, this was the older version of sdgo so you could tell the difference in UI

enemy are obviously your kills, support is assist aka bruising your enemy etc. shotdown is the ammount of deaths

i kept killing them without them noticing my low health and ended up surviving the whole match like that rofl

5 guys came after me and got caught in my special and i gotta admit they were pure stupid, i never expected to kill 5 at once so easily xD

at first they make you do missions until your user rank is 2 strips, after that you're allowed to pvp.

you use both keyboard and mouse to play this game. but you could always change the controls but i find that to be too much of a work and i prefer using wasd in this game.

also there are special attacks in this game which is weapon 4 when you use it, if it's a melee special you dash towards your target and you're invincible during the dash, you could use a special to avoid another player's special and melee them as they die wondering why their special failed.

Path of Exile With gameplay similar to Diablo and Drakensang, players must survive this post-apocolyptic fantasy world either solo or by teaming up with other exiles. The realistic, visceral combat and gritty artstyle will help immerse players in this cutthroat survivalist game world. things to note: game might be demaning on computer specs and also the size of this game is nearly 6 gigabytes but gameplay is worth it in my opinion i hope you can run this it's really good!
    https://www.pathofexile.com/

Aura Kingdoms is a free to play MMORPG that focuses on companion interaction. Journey throughout the land with companions that are far more than just pets along for the ride. There will be eight different classes for you to choose amongst each with their complex skill trees, the graphics are marvelous so im like totally going to play this right now, i nearly forgot that this was one of the games i had on my playlist rofl, love this game but my pc is very low end..

    http://aurakingdom.aeriagames.com/

Mabinogi is a 3D Fantasy MMORPG with unique anime styled graphics. Mabinogi is a one of a kind game with an endless list of unique features. Players can compose music, design clothes, milk cows, get a part time job and much more. Characters also grow older as time goes by but can rebirth every week for free! you never age like a grandpa but get taller until you reach the maximum height for your race. there is an Arena or you could Request a duel.
    http://mabinogi.nexon.net/micro-site/saga

Elsword is like an arcade side scroller game where you travel left or right and have up to three skills that requires charges (you need to hit the monsters to charge up a bar or two, three bars to use a skill, it's like their mana system) there are certain avatar items and uniques you could obtain to make your character look a bit different, when you class advance you either get longer hair or some other appearance changes. it's really entertaining and worth investing money in for avatars max level is 50 and it takes less than a month or two.

    YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

    http://www.elswordonline.com/

Dungeon Fighter Online is probably one of the best side scrollers for pvp, i really loved pvping there and alot of people go there whenever they feel like it or when they run out of stamina bar / stress meter / fatigue / blitz points, currently in alpha phase needs facebook account to join the alpha test, they arn't wiping levels, game is like a remake of dungeon&dragons with better graphics, more skills. alpha ends in June 13th but it's enough time to enjoy until they go official, max level is 70 and yeah it shouldn't take more than a month and a week to reach max level

Red Stone is 2d fantasy mmorpg - actually fits the 2.5d isometric view since it's similiar to diablo 2 or darkeden it is set in a fantasy colonial setting and has a fairly rich story for those patient and willing enough to explore it. The game’s most notable feature is its incredibly large selection of playable classes and skills. however i believe there isn't any customization it's a small game though 600 mbs with guild vs guild (im not sure if it has a 1v1)
    http://redstone.ogplanet.com/en/main.og

Latale is a 2d side scroller with pvp duels outside town, it has alot of things to craft, rare weapons need urns though you can combo in this game, to do this you press z or x for weak/strong attack and press skills there are four trees so you could combo them without having to fit in normal attacks, you need the normal attacks if you want to use skills from other trees but usually you focus one tree because not all of them are good skills. some have drawbacks or requires a different weapon. you can shovel, mine, fish. mining is required to upgrade your gear to the next level, this reduces your gears endurance so upgrading multiple times could lower the success rate. digging isn't required but some fashion items that are worth like 40 million ely (last time i sold mine it was worth that much, not sure about now but its still costly for sure) drop as a ? bag, you'll get alot more of junk digging but you can also get emoticon books from it as well. there are so many instances with bosses that give cute gear, of course there are normal field bosses like the Goblin king that gives urns. i prefer instances in the toad shrine, you face a harpie boss, she is quite challenging if you're not high enough.

    http://latale.ogplanet.com/en/main.og

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B57-Mbd_YFU

Angels Online has 5 crafting classes to choose from: weaponsmith, armorsmith, tailor, mechanic and cook. Also every aspect needs to be leveled seperated from the others. Say, you collect stuff, then your collection skill goes up, if you cook, your cooking skill goes up, if you go fishing your fishing skill goes... you get the idea. I think when it comes to crafting this game is quite cool, even though the game itself might be hard to enjoy, the game has one of the best crafting.. oddly though people dislike games with good crafting because remaining content isn't as attractive i guess, one flaw about this game is you can only create one character per account.

    http://ao.igg.com

Ragnarok online - this 2.5d mmorpg is an oldie, one of the few mmorpgs that have private servers and possibly "have more players in private servers, oh you could tell they are butthurt most of the time" it was loved by many due to castle siege ( guild vs guild content called woe - war of emperium - goal is to defend or destroy the crystal this is held weekly) it does have some crafting but you must be a blacksmith or a whitesmith, to vend items while afking you need a merchant. merchants class change into blacksmith/alchemist and they're allowed to vend items too. the crafting in this game isn't special its mostly for weapons with element damage. there are many classes available so feel free to play as any class

    http://www.playragnarok.com/
here is a wiki to help your journey - http://irowiki.org/wiki/Main_Page

Mabinogi - a fantasy life mmorpg, this 3d game have unique anime styled graphics. it has an endless list of unique features. Players can compose music, design clothes (crafting) , milk cows, get a part time job and much more. Characters also grow older as time goes by but can be rebirth every week or so for free i believe. they dont "look old" they do get taller, and its harder to play as a younger character because you start with low hp pool. they gain fat if you feed them too much, you must eat cherries and stuff to lose weight. back in the late year 2ks the game didn't give you premium cards in the beginning forcing you with horrible customization options, it was still fun back then but now they give you a premium card for your first character to make you dashing shiny beautiful sexy ultra mega extreme!!! there is so much progression in this game, leveling up isn't the only thing that matters. you perform an action of your choice to level like fishing, mining, crafting. there are many more skills in the game i haven't mentioned. the game has alot of titles to unlock and so many clothes available the customization is endless so the game have many fashionogis (mabi players that play the game for fashion, they have a large wardrobe!!) there are so much to do here, so i hope you try this game soon!

    http://mabinogi.nexon.net/

Soulsaver Online - a sidescroller that has 1:1 duels, faction wars to take over the castle or a pvp field to fight people non-stop unlike latale it might be a little upgrade reliant but you could choose who you want to fight if their weapon glows really red etc, you shouldn't even start the fight xD im sure you wont run into much red glow users anyway. this game is based on saving the world from the ghosts and demons, the lower level ghosts look pretty silly and as you level you witness some scary, cool looking demons.
    http://www.soulsaveronline.com/

old thread of mine, short info of what class uses this weapon etc.
    http://www.onrpg.com/boards/threads/...side-scroller)

here are browser games that were okay

Lunaria Story doesn't really have much customization but its very cute, has auto questing auto hunting. many girls play it

    http://ls.r2games.com/

Dragonpals, don't let the name fool you it's turnbased with decent graphics and you can unlock many dragons hurray!

    http://dragon.r2games.com/

Neosaurs - nothing like neopets, it sounds really silly but the game is rather nice for a browser game xD it may feel stupid at first though - you could see how strong it resembles maplestory but it picks off as you evolve your dinosaur lol

    http://www.neosaurs.com/

Wartunes - one of the best browser games until like lv.36 ( starts getting slow, maybe i was just too serious and then got bored of it ) pvp is pretty fun but its pretty much fighting an A.I unless there is like a battleground event going on where the goal is to kill the enemy and collect minerals (you move slower while dragging a cart)

Aura Kingdom is very pay2win. Wartune (Which is by R2Games) is also very pay2win, as are all of r2games' games. I make sure to zero-bomb r2games stuff on newgrounds every day, that's how bad they are :V

OP didn't say if they wanted free to play or not. I suggest Guild Wars 2, even though it would probably be too much for their computer to handle. Especially if they have an AMD Processor.

OP didn't say if they wanted free to play or not. I suggest Guild Wars 2, even though it would probably be too much for their computer to handle. Especially if they have an AMD Processor.

I came down to either Eden Eternal, Aura Kingdom OR Elsword...

The Aeria Games community isn't as great as it seems on the surface, nor are the staff that run it all. Some GMs play favorites with some non-staff people. (IE: Trolls.) I left Aeria Games in favor of FFXIV / Wildstar. I do not regret my decision one bit.

Only plays Burst Magic DPS Classes and Healers.
    Playing MMO: FFXIV (Ragnarok)

I've played Ragnarok, Mabinogi, path of exile, and some more.

Can you please Expend more on the sdgundam, elsword, Aura kingdom and Wartunes?

    Please talk about the following:
how high is the P2W aspect in each
how good is the PVE against the PVP aspect
Are they instanced or open world
    how grindy are they
    and how's the combat system
    Sdgo

P2W? - it has very low p2w, there is an early advantage of being able to purchase an S rank but the SS ranks require an S rank and other units to be built, A ranks and B ranks have the potential to destory S rank mobile suits as well so it's not much of a big gap, and the lower your unit rank means lesser points for the enemies and more lives for your team or more like yourself

PVE? - i found the scenerio missions quite challenging, at certain difficulties you require proper mobile suits preferably with mega beam particle cannons and alot of defense or even a repair unit (support mobilesuits that heals your team, even if you're a support you still have a melee and a midranged weapon so you only lose one weapon really.) they still need more missions but i find the ammount fine as it is, there are already many pvers and i have to admit the pvers really kill pvp games all the time and leads the game to terminate their servers.
http://www.sdgowiki.com/wiki/Mission_Guides explains to you how missions are done.

It's not openworld it's a roombased game where you gather up in a lobby and start the game when everyone is ready, openworld games like these never stand chance in the gaming markets, they shut down too fast..

There is hardly any grind, all you have to do is enjoy fighting people or doing missions for exp, there many quests to earn points to roll capsules and such.

Combat System for Sdgo is really fun, it's like a 3rd person shooting game where you move in wasd, you press w twice to dash forward and a twice for left and so on, you can boost up in the air upto twice or infinite times in a space map, or with swapping into a melee weapon you could boost up in the air alot more than you usually can. melee weapon slashes your opponent and when they are hit, they are hit locked however certain unites knock the opponents down after a certain ammount of hits, 3/4/5 it varies on what they're specialized in, say if they're melee specialized then they would knock you down after 5 hits, if they're long ranged based aka use a sniper, mega beam cannon and such, they usually knock you down after 3 hits or one (and if they knock you down with only one hit, it usually has a decent attack power)
the game has a few technics such as mca - move cancel acceleration, it's based on swapping your weapons to reduce delay, and save boosts so you could travel further without having to recover for a second or two. the game gets funner as you are experianced with it so it's suggested to learn it, unless you prefer mid/long ranged combat.

    Elsword

Zero P2W, i find no advantage in paying for the game, considering you could also buy avatars through game gold even though it could get a bit costly but gold can be obtained through game so yeah doesn't matter as much.

Pve in this game is awesome really, there are many interesting classes to try for each character.. it felt like playing an addictive arcade side scroller, the bosses are really challenging at higher levels, and at lower levels they're pretty adorable
not as dangerous but it picks up fast. generally this game was made for pve and just had pvp as a big bonus, so yeah the pve is great. - note: early game "might" not be as appealing, it varies on each person as i found it fun since the beginning but the higher level instances were a whole new level of fun

Openworld, i believe it became a bit openworld, it used to be instance based but they changed it, there are still dungeons
but the openworld is huge, you can jump in the game and hunt with strangers and become an adventurer!

Zero Grind - this could possibly be my opinion but i never felt any grind, it was very fun leveling and didn't feel difficult leveling up at all.

Combat - its a combo beat em up you mainly use the z x button, z is usually your normal attack that uses no mana, while the x button is usually a ranged attack or a stronger attack that uses some mana. then there are three other buttons that are your skills, when you activate your skill you see a cut scene (A,S,D) and you're invincible for that short duration and after the cutscene the skill hits the target, it's in a stop motion, the game sort of reminds me of vewtiful joe. as you progress through you can unlock more combos.

Here are Elsword's General combos at his base job. At the end of all his combos you can see key inputs marked either ↓DOWN or ↑UP.

•↓DOWN means that when Elsword performs that action, the enemy will be knocked down. Avoid these.

•↑UP means that Elsword will launch the enemy up into the air. If you launch an enemy and let it hit the ground instead of catching it, it will be knocked down. This is not recommended for party play, because even if you catch this can annoy your teammates.

I would recommend Rusty Hearts. Combat-dungeon based. Fast-paced action hack 'n slash mmorpg with 4 classes (I think.. may be more.. Last time I played had 4 classes)
