    Default Onigiri

I noticed you guys talking crap about it so I tried it.

You guys have hyped up crap WAY worse than this.

This is basically just a PSO ripoff with an olden Japanese setting (lol, you even go through a telepipe after boss fights).

It's not bad, it just feels like a very early version.

I want to like it but it suffers from a severe lack of polish. Im hoping by the time the ps4 version rolls around the game will be cleaned up for the better.

Eh it's free and it's fun in short bursts or with friends.
It's a cyberstep game, anyone honestly expecting a solid experience is obviously going to be very disappointed.

not that i would want the game to fail "just because" but based on how they run the other games they've made, really no reason to have high expectations.

I like the female avatars so improving the models would be really nice.

It's alright. Has enough systems to keep it interesting.

I personally enjoy the combat and that says a lot. I'll be playing it on and off.

I enjoyed it greatly in alpha but in beta it's really only bad because they nerfed the shit out of the exp gain in general from monsters and quests.

Playing it off and on until the next big game comes out. Most of my friends are waiting on ArcheAge, while I'm more curious if there will ever be an English release of either Kritika Online, Soul Worker, or Project NT (Peria Chronicles.)

Honestly, pasting the time reading Light Novels such as Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, and Ark.

Way too many people trying the OB. Too much lag. Going to wait for the stragglers to drop the game or they open another server.

It's coming to Vita, PS4, and PS3 if I recall right. It's supposedly going to have cross platform too.

Combat feels a bit better, lag is pretty tolerable too(usually non-existent)
But (so far) it seems all the clothing options beyond starter items are cash shop only. Which would be fine except for that so far they're all

I can't even seem to play it with controller.

anyway, The game has some potential. But they definitely need better servers and should have a texture upgrade and atleast FXAA/MSAA

    Requires 360 supported controller
Can you do this with a logitech/ps3/another otherwise not-360 controller
    yes
but you'll need a side program that will lie to your computer about it.(and also map your buttons appropriately)
Not saying they shouldn't have native support for controllers that aren't 360/microsoft, but just saying you CAN use one atm with some work.

all logitech newer gamepad has a switch to use it in XInput or DirectInput mode. The XInput mode uses the gamepad standard on Windows 7/Vista, which is essentially the same as using an xbox controller.

    Pretty much this.
Unlike Cash break though there isn't anything game breaking in the cs at this time, but I just don't see myself spending much since it will likely only come out to be some worthless exp booster or something.

Though I obviously haven't reached the end game yet, so there's a chance that the smelting items become necessary, which in that case ugh.

    Cash shops are fine
    When they're any combination of
    over priced
    over powering
unrewarding as a whole(this is the current case with oni imho)

I'll just quote myself here from a discussion not in onrpg
Because they're always made really really poorly or are entirely made to milk, which in turn just ruins the game experience as a whole. F2P gaming isn't bad inherently:
Having all the game-play aspects and a reasonable amount of character customization available for free with the more advanced customization, stat rerolls, name changes, and other cosmetic / non-gameplay items available in the cash shop to support the game is fine and dandy.

Now when all those cosmetic items are behind a $1.50 gachapon that is chalk full of filler BS(useful but not $1.50 useful) it's really stupid.

Spending $15 on an outfit so that I look unique and that the game is supported and will continue to see updates: Fine, the ideal F2P set up.

Spending $15 on 10 Gachapon spins that, if I'm lucky, one of which will contain an outfit. Not even the one I may want, just an outfit. Could be the outfit likely no one will trade me for: I'm supporting the game but generally feel screwed and otherwise dissatisfied with the experience as a whole.

I have my ps3 controller flashed do a x360 controller. The game just doesn't recognizes it. But I already quit the game. Out of no where I had a bow with over 200 attack and it was for lvl5.... Durability also drops too fast.

Needs to be registered as xinput(someone in the thread reminded me that is what it's called) so if it's lacking that end programs like Rogue legacy and Oni wont.

Also bow's have low durability as a form of weapon balance, there would be no point in anything but staves and bows if they didn't lose more.

Mind you you're allowed to play want you, just saying that is there for a reason(I usually save them for bosses)
