Whelp! I won't be playing it any time soon, and honestly, I don't care much. It looks and sounds just like what I was expecting, and honestly, I'm just trying to burn time until the next semester or ArcheAge comes out.

I tried to use the downloader, but it pulls internet resources from every other THING that uses the internet in my parents' house, so I couldn't use the downloader while everyone was awake, so I just had to use the lengthy-ass direct download through Chrome which took roughly double the time, and could easily get corrupted or outright STOPPED if the internet connection goes down for a minute, which tends to happen out here in the country.

Long story short, I stopped the downloader, but the downloader didn't close all the way, even after I used task manager, so my computer got so bogged down, that once the game FINALLY finished downloading at 4:30 AM, I had to stop the installation mid-way and restart my computer. Then I fell to sleep, tried to install it again, but it said "too many cabs. were broken", or some shit like that, so I copied the things from the rar AGAIN which in itself took half an hour, and finally got the damn thing installed.

Will it be worth the wait? I doubt it, but I'm gonna try if I can today.

I downloaded just fine with Firefox, within an hour lol
But in the end, game for EU is laggy as hell.

    RIP Xfire

The first things I noticed were:

-Holy shit, that Dwarf woman creeps me out a bit. It was like she was staring into my soul. But then I saw another version of a Dwarf woman, and heard how deep her voice was, and I was like "Wow! This sure isn't a little girls, I don't think!"

-There's a shitton of classes, and almost all of them are magic classes. I have no idea which one to pick because they all look almost exactly the same, the character creation screen doesn't give me an idea of what each one is like, and I can barely find any gameplay videos for each one.

-There's Native Americans. The Yutons are anime/JRPG-styled Native Americans. That's pretty awesome. It almost makes me want to play as one, but I have no idea if choosing that race means that I can't fly some steampunk bird and can't use a steampunk spider tank in battle and instead have to use a rhino.

Any thoughts or opinions on the classes and factions?

Eh......not super impressed with the game. Character creation is great but beyond that..............

Just makes me feel like playing GW2 or even Tera.

Oh, God. It's worse than I thought. I really WOULD rather play GW2 or Tera over this.

I managed to get passed the character creation screen since I didn't care about the slider-based customization (imo, I don't like it. It's time consuming, and makes it too easy to make my character look discolored or neo-colored), but as soon as I started playing, it just looked and felt awful. Trying to attack with manual aiming feels awkward and looks ineffective, and the skill and character animations look lack-luster, and the graphics on default are OK at best.

I think I might just stick to Elsword or give Dragon's Prophecy or RaiderZ another try instead. It's sad when a game makes you want to play another game. I can't believe it's getting so much media coverage from GameSpot, not to say that GameSpot has some magical seal of approval. Not in this day and age of gaming.

Have no idea what yall are griping about. Even on default settings the world is pretty huge and very beautiful. Easily the best environment I have seen in a f2p game (released as f2p, and archeage is not out yet.... so don't even). The skill animations are very nice. Quite flashy. Huge selection of classes is amazing! Leveling is very easy so far, but meh. It actually slowed down significantly at 15, so we will see what it is like.

There are battle mounts. You can raise a mount, making it stronger and stronger and just ride it around wreaking havoc. I'll agree, it needs major optimization. But all in all it is a VERY high quality f2p mmo and as long as endgame can hold up, it can be pretty dominate.

You all are crying because you don't have anything to cry over at the moment. You simply demand the impossible, and when a game can't stand up to your impossible demands (no game ever will...) you quit and call it trash. Get over yourself.

Or we just don't like it.

But I guess that's difficult to grasp.

You can not like it, whatever. But what I see is people making 2 second decisions then trashing it without even understanding what they were looking at. Saying graphics were bad... Hahahaha what f2p game has better graphics? Saying many classes but they are all the same. Lolololol sorry.... everyone of them is quite different.

Its junk like that. People find whatever they can to tear new mmos down because they have impossible standards and need a reality check.

Yeah i think its really okay, nothing special...
It got better after some levels for me, but you get spammed with Gifts and Stuff every 2mins you can claim something

The Interface feels pretty weird and i dont really get those fighting mounts yet... i can kill Mobs with my Character with 100dmg per hit, or i just kill them with my mount for 3600 damage oO

But from EU 300+ ms feels to bad.
So maybe if it gets an EU publisher

What if we registered before having a passport / username and cannot retrieve our passwords? Not like I'll play this game anyway, due to the whole "hardcore PVP" / forced open world PVP Stance the game has. Good luck to you all.

I like it. I like playing around with all the classes and the cool mount thing you get. The pvp is pretty fun too. It's not a bad game if you look over a few things.

Yes you must realize that I wouldn't say hits "horribly generic" because it is a bit fresh. But at the same time it is nothing super amazing. To me it is a good solid game, but nothing completely new and never before seen. I participated in a war last night that was pretty fun. Elandir (my side) had like 33ish people total fighting while Isenhorst had like low 50s.... we won :P. It was a good time. Also a dwarf occultist invaded the city and attempted to kill me (lvl 17 Geomancer). Since we were both healers, that fight went nowhere fast :P I eventually chased her off heehehe

I'll be honest, it's partially just because I'm cynical of MMORPGs. So when I saw how it looked and felt how it felt right away within the first 30 minutes of playing, I ran for the hills. I've played quite a few games that look better than it up to level 30 or 40, only to find that most of it really was just a boring grindfest, with PvP being it's main selling point.

So I decided to play a game with PvP focus that required more actual player skills, like Elsword, while I wait for Archeage to come out. I'm interested in ArcheAge because even though it has tab-target combat, it looks very impressive, and seems like it has a LOT of true CONTENT (stuff to do with no gimmicks) outside of grinding, dungeon-raiding, and PvP, and looks like a great game to explore that actually makes exploring fun. Stuff from house and fortress building, to gliding, to treasure hunting, to pirating, to justice-dealing, to farm-raising, etc, and even though there most likely will be some gimmicks, a lot of this content seems to have a lot of depth and impact, and actually have an effect on the game world and game experience, and that's what I am looking for.

Also, personally, and it's just a personal taste, I'm tired of games having these generic-looking "fireworks" special effects, is what I call them. I don't know how exactly to describe them, they just look really dull and overly-flashy. I prefer sharp-looking special effects that look and feel like they have weight, but again, I'm just nit-picking at this point.

Just, flashy lights and a shit-ton of spinning for everything...That being said, I DID see some special effects that I liked in BG...maybe I'll give it another try some day.

Combat somehow bugs me. It does feel boring and clunky. Game still has some interesting features like mechs.

The game is alright but there's just a lot of bugs. I got stuck in the grass field purgatory a few times and just had my controls lock up on me and force my character to just move right. The quest locator sometimes is in the wrong spots as well as one of my quests is bugged in my log.

It's alright but I think I'm gonna pass until they fix some stuff.

But the infinite grass field is my favorite feature. It really shows you how futile your life is as you are trapped an cannot move even though you are in an infinite expanse. In all seriousness the grass field can be escaped by pressing M, finding a tele stone, and clicking on it. Boom you are out of grass field in 5 seconds. But yes, I hope they can work fast before "official release." It needs to be optimized, combat smoothed out a bit, and some bug fixes of course.

Oh yeah, I do that but it's happened in a row and I didn't have my tele. So I put on Prairie Rain Field and just wait it out.

(but that shit is getting old.)

If there is one thing the Chinese are good at, it's making their games as unoptimized as humanly possible
