I'm hoping to do some world exploring myself via teaching in the coming years, just have to hope I can continue to fund my college adventure(not allowing myself to go into debt just for schooling)

I really liked playing this game on the US servers. The only reason I ended up quitting is because, when I played, it was absolutely stupid how grindy the game got after level 35 You would run out of quest to do, due to the quest being locked depending on your level. So you would have to go thru and do all the daily stuff each day to continue leveling. Then, right before I quit, they started going down the same path as the EU version, where to get the awesome dragons you had to buy packs. I admit I did buy the Halloween pack and got the Halloween dragon. I don't think I broke down and bought the super cute white one (kinda looked like a feathery/albino version of the dragon from How to Train your dragon or w/e it was called).

I loved the housing system, though. And the holiday content was awesome (in my opinion). Now that I think about it, I kinda regret quitting I think I put about a hundred days worth of upkeep in my house, but I honestly can't remember. So all that work went poof, and probably my spot along with it (unless the population hasn't grown any and it's been left open). The combat system was mostly enjoyable as well.

Now that I'm on a nostalgia trip, I'm going to go ahead an download it again. Don't think it'll be as much fun without my friends to play with tho.

Edit: oh yeah, and training your dragons was both intriguing and highly annoying. The only way to do it without spending a ton of my money was to wait a long time for the daily free rolls and whatnot. So it was either spend a few hundred dollars to train a single dragon to perfection, or spend a year+.

(To be clear, talking about the SOE/NA version).

I could never get in to it
Was kind of hoping for a more refined battle system and was left disappointed when it basically ended up being your typical tab targeting system. Of course it looked like an action game but it definitely played like a tab targeting game.
Just a friendly reminder to never ever play a game published by PWE(Perfect World Entertainment)
