Hey, I used to be the same way as you, until I had my eyes opened up by Oister about it. He and a few other members here actually made some posts about it a while back which convinced me to try it out. It's worth it though.

Nintendo isn't really evolving much differently. I have a Wii U, there's quite a bit of non gaming features.
However, my comment wasn't directed toward Nintendo or Sony. Their console evolution has been natural.

Had Microsoft gotten behind the PC as their "gaming machine" it would have changed things greatly.
In a time when technology was evolving and things were being consolidated they took a step back.

To put in perspective the wrongness of what they did lets compare it, hypothetically, to removing the clock from phones in order to sale watches.

What I hate is that year after year they tell PC Gamers "We're going to support PC more often" but it never happens.

The only reason I would ever get a console (PS4) is for Destiny. That's equivalent to $500 just to play a single game because there is nothing on PS4 that interests me.

What's really sad is some developers, like Ubisoft and 2K, seem to be purposely gimping the PC versions of their games in order to promote new gen consoles.

The most recent is the leak of quality reduction of The Division.

Ubisoft needs to work more on fixing uplay than worrying about making games look better on PC.

    I think you misunderstood.
The games look great but are downgraded so they aren't better than the console version. Even when WatchDogs and the Division were supposedly developed as PC being the primary platform.

Not seeing a problem if everyone is getting the same game.
