Grind is opinionative. Crazy loot and customization that matters or fluff? Define lots.

You need to be more descriptive at what you mean. Grind is opinionative meaning what someone considers grindy is not the same as someone else. Do you mean you want more quest, less quests, other options to earn exp like battlegrounds and crafting, what?

There are a few games with crazy amounts of loot and customization but some of those options don't effect you in game like PSO2, you get tons of items and can customize a lot but most of it is just for looks.

Sounds like you want a hub based MMO like Diablo 3, Vindictus or PSO2. They are pretty much nothing but dungeon runs for normal questing but they can feel grindy.

Borderlands comes to mind, but that isn't an MMO.

diablo 3. to everyone that's been *****ing about the game. it actually has improved a lot, and monk's have been buffed as well. They are getting a even better buff at 2.3 (I don't know if it came out yet) with the introduction of ladders and whatnot. Game is really heavily loot based, and loot system has been buffed from kadala and rifts. I haven't played quite some time though cause I fcked up with my authenticator when I reset my phone playing brave frontier, but the game is a fast level hella loot game.

Those two together make no sense, Little grinding + Tons of loot. You're grinding for the loot no matter how you look at it. Dungeons are Dungeons.

Seems like you're looking for non-repetitive game play with rewarding results. I hear wild star does dungeons well.

whattt? grinding for levels is a joke. its very easy to get max level. Also he's talking about tons of loot right? you cant get tons of loot in any mmorpg if your not grinding for something. Unless your playing those Chinese mmorpgs that open up loot boxes for you for every 5 levels or something. The Leg drop rate that was up for the anniversary event became perma, so the loot rate is really good right now, since everyone is going to end up hunting for legs and set items anyways.

what mmorpg isn't all about grind?

Guys, read carefully. He defines "less grindy" as "less boring quests and more fun in fighting". Yes, for me grindy also means no quests (and I just say I do like it grindy), but that's not what he means. :-)

He even said "like Diablo but as MMORPG".

Pretty sure WoW and GW2 and EQ2 are loot-oriented and have bosses.

Pretty surprising to see no one has mentioned Path of Exile? It's essentially a Diablo-style game that's currently 10x better than Diablo. The grinding is a lot more tolerable because the pretty much half the things you find are of value to someone. The currency system is also really well polished and innovative.

True, totally forgot about it. Yeah, sound like Path of Exile is exactly what he is looking for.
