Default What are the most forgettable states in the country? (U.S.)

I vote Wyoming. I know there are some states that just don't get much attention in media or something, but it just occurred to me, with the exception of today, I have almost never heard of Wyoming. I didn't even remember it existed.

I'm not one of those people who can remember all 50 states, but I kind of feel like that's part of what I'm getting at. The closest I've ever come to acknowledging it's existence, is that when I look at the weather channel, I notice that it's the only state in the entire country shaped like a perfectly boring square, but I never knew it's name until today when they were talking about the weather in Wyoming on this new weather channel channel my dad got on Roku.
I liked it more when I was Samus'es girdle.

Mostly the cold ones in the northeast like Maine, Delaware, etc.

I think the most forgettable are in the central area of the map. Just about every time I see a map that shows locations of populaces or activity for <insert random activity here>, etc., it's usually the middle of the map with the least indicators of activity.

Montana, N. and S. Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, Nebraska, Maryland, Delaware, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts are probably the top states most people forget exist.

Colorado is famous for a lot of stuff, most recently the legalization of Marijuana. Maryland has a lot of political stuff going on. Utah = Mormons.

The rest I'd agree though. You don't hear much about Teneesse or Alaska and though not a state, a lot of people forget PR is a part of the US now.

It's not like Maryland & Massachusetts have two of the biggest US cities (26th and 24th out of almost 300).

lul people forget Baltimore & Boston exist guys, amirightguys, rite.

Several of the states I mentioned are in the central area of the MAP, not specifically the timezone.

Location probably has a large significance to whether or not you hear about certain states. It also depends on interests.

I don't go to cons, and if I did, it wouldn't be in Boston. I pretty much shun any state near New York. I'd probably include Rhode Island on the list too if I didn't watch reality TV. I don't like the cold or the accents, I rarely remember the states themselves, I don't know any people who live/go there, and I never hear about them.

I believe most, if not all, of the cast mates from The Jersey Shore were from Rhode Island. It's mentioned in the show. RI and Jersey go hand-in-hand.

Mob Wives and Jerseylicious, too. Both have Jersey and RI cast. Although, I didn't really watch much of those two.

There was also a True Life episode on MTV that aired a lot about Jersey Shore before the TV show, The Jersey Shore, even existed. About kids from RI going to Jersey in the summer.

i don't go to cons either, but that doesn't really change the fact that pax east is kind of a big deal. like i don't listen to katy perry, but she still manages to do pretty well without my support.

I would have to say that Canada is the most forgettable state in the USA.
