anyone have any tips on leveling faster

i mostly been doing quest to level up, but exp stopped being good at around 34 and it got to a point where i would run out of quest before i finish my level

other things i been doing is all my bounty board quest and a few guild quest each day

i think im supposed to do instances all day or something (finding groups for instances is a pain on my server)

Around 30 ish you grind bamboo everyday and instances, mainly for hero order, and when you don't want to manually play you use cultivation to run to specific areas and let it kill while you're away.

You dont have to grind instances lol, im lvl 45 still using lvl 30 gears my helm is lvl 18 still..
pick up a quest for instance, finish that and go to do another thing, ive done 2 bamboos so far at lvl 45,
i hardly do any instances also just when i feel like farming then i do that..

join up a guild do guild dailies it also give good exp..
do mirage cavern or vermin lair also good exp and way faster than bamboo, i dont think bamboo is even worth doing..
mirage cavern is the best to do imho

Mirage cavern, bamboo, vermin lair are all events
theyre open at certain times of the day

guild quest also give good exp and real quick, u can do 2 of them 3 times each less than 10mins

well i hit 40 yesterday finally and did some vermin, bamboo and IOS, got enough hero token II's to get most of my 40 token gear except chest and bracer i think

but yeah this game i think you want to have groups for all the events (mirage bamboo and vermin) and group for your guild daily hijack for me as a bandit and i guess escort if you're the good guys

and you want to do your level instance for tokens to get gear (probably only matters at 40+)

but all of this requires grouping up

so far i have done IOS, cyan siege, 5venoms vermin and bamboo, i still havent been to mirage yet, i got kidnapping and hijacking figured out ok and getting info from informants

so i guess im doing alright now but the main thing is finding people to group with and figuring out how the event/instances work

also five venoms 3rd set is incredibly useful in an instance, especially when combo'd with a wu-tang (cause they have a skill to draw everything into a clump for aoe)

most people arent playing 5venoms i guess because they dont think they will be good in pvp (that i havent done much of yet but i plan to) but i can say 5v is really fun in pve atleast

Is it just me, or does anyone else find this game too easy?

    what do you mean?
the hero mode of the 50+ dungeon seems pretty hard to me, my gear isnt good but i can be 1 shot by bosses if i dont block or dodge

im up to 53 on my five venoms, im a little burned out of the game currently it takes a lot of time if you try to level up fast

my plan was to get 40 and pvp in the arena for funzies but i ended up rolling on the wrong server and somehow im in a guild grinding levels every day instead

maybe ill roll a level 40 guy on claymore to mess around in the arena with, they always have games up

edit: also this game doesnt have much to do pvp wise, yeah you can fight people and duel but there isnt any incentive to do it

in age of wushu you would pvp all day every day and it was part of the game, it was set up so that things you wanted to do also included pvp so it was natural to be fighting all day long while you played the game

on this game im just grinding events all day or doing quest but pvp usually doesnt happen and yeah i could go kill a bunch of people but its not the same as age of wushu where it felt like it mattered instead of just because i can

also gear (and levels to use said gear) makes a whole hell of a lot of difference in open world pvp

the one thing the game has going for it is the arena i like how you can make all the stats balanced and put more focus on player skills

(i know im typing a wall of text but i just got stuff i wanted to say, of course not all this is relevant to the post i quoted)

I don't do PVP, so I have no interest in that part of the game, also, I'm only doing quests and the occasional story mode instance.

after you get above 40 the game doesn't hold your hand as much

1-32 is easy just to help you get your feet on the ground

the 40 and 50 dungeons can be tough on the hard mode (the 32 dungeon can be pretty hard as well if you are new with crap gear on hero mode

xp slows down some at 40 and very much after 50 (and im sure even more at higher levels)

    I'm glad you said easy!
I only jumped on swordsman waiting for ArcheAge download to pop. I find this "game" just crazy, Sometimes its just not cool to auto you everywhere. I much prefer a game that has you explore the land & progress in a natural way.
I know I could of gone on a manual short romp, but, I got tied up at the start just following quests I then found myself just clicking and watching with intrigue. It's kind of made me think I could do nothing in this game & still get somewhere, I don't even have to fight just hit my pots, why didn't they just start me at level 30 even end & finish me off in the first place?
To me the game had no real passion, although the story was funny & good to have. I didn't like the incompleteness with the other language still in the game. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't of minded a little, but every scene was this way.
The npc's lacked life, they just stood there in massive groups like dummies, if you hit one of the them you could go through them one by one on auto. the npc standing so close you blow him over did nothing. Seemed crap to me.
You know those new crazed browser games that are all AUTO'S launching in their mass's!? you can't tell me they are worth playing? there's no way they can be categorized as a game. Swordsman unfortunately has this embedded into it, this just makes it not a real game.
Another thing that got me was seeing loads of players all going along the same paths all set on auto..stupid!

If gaming thinks we need auto bots, the world thinks we need chairs to run around the shops in & cars without drivers, The world has no need for human movement. The future Human is a robot!. DAVROS here we come. lol.

i don't mind the auto quest, getting lost isnt a good feature to me, and besides most modern mmo's make it pretty easy to find the things regardless

but the bot you may have a wrong idea about, the purpose on this game for the bot is mostly just to gain materials for crafting and making food/potions and make a little bound spending money selling the green drops (note to make weapons armor/jewelry you also need a rare material from the hard mode of dungeons and some unbound money (40+) from vermin lair/mirage cavern events or 50+ quests, the basic materials are easy to get though)

its not so much for xp and you can't rely on it to get you much xp (however it is one of the best ways to level your companion, your companion can be up to 5 levels higher than you)

you get 200 minutes per day and for me thats enough to let me take a few breaks here and there for meals and maybe to watch a show

also i suggest you guys get a companion that has pick up and sale, they will grab the loot for you and sell it while you afk

i know the maid at 40 has both and the 45 pet fist master as well, im not sure of below 40 pets

the real way you get xp on this game (past level 32) is by grouping up with people and doing the events and instances through out the day or (also guild quest) so in that aspect its better than just a questing mmo with no social interaction

a few pages back i was complaining i was leveling slow and running out of quest and that i couldn't hit 40, that's because i was doing it wrong, you have to group up or your xp will suffer

Nice post. Mostly all PWE games have that auto run feature. To me it breaks immersion. U never stop and help people or maybe get side tracked while running to turn in a quest to do something else etc. Thought about trying this game but from what I hear its basically a cookie cutter mmorpg with kung fu elements. Maybe it has some depth I don't know but I don't see it being around longer than a couple years. That for me makes it a bad investment.

In an MMO, I like the idea of outgearing other players, and stomping the [filtered] out of them
