So when is the Open Beta starting?

The results of the Closed Beta were quite encouraging and we were about to launch Open Beta on the original target date of 1st of July. But it just felt like insisting on meeting that target date was mostly fed by the excitement of the players and the staff rather than reason and what was best for the project.

We do love to see you urging us to deliver the game and it’s a great motivation boost for us, but looking at the technical incidents that occurred during CBT, we thought it better to ask for just a little more patience in order to work on them.

Of course even the Open Beta will be far from perfect, and we hope you understand that this is a test and not the final game (if something like that even exists for an MMO). However this time, we decided to slow down a bit and allow ourselves time to implement some of your feedback. There is also a bunch of fixes we wish to see implemented for Open Beta.

I’m sure all of you can understand our concerns and we ask you to be patient for just a little longer
... No? Well, we know that too, so stay tuned because we won’t take long!

The open beta date has been delayed to I guess.. the 4th?

Played CBT till near level cap(26). To get a good impression. I cant believe this game is popular. Its was so clunky, slow and just overall bad. Nothing unique or anything that stood out. The dungeons were long and boring, unless you skip 99%. The PvP was just target and mash all your skill keys. And the game wasnt well received in Asia. Heard it was already near dead.

I agree and I dont know wtf they have been doing. I remember archlord 1 actually being really fun and good (until the carebear patch came out) for its time, archlord 2 is not even anything near the fun of what AL1 was early on

    Clunky and generally shitty

Couldn't even call it a CB. Most content was locked and you couldn't even play all races. It was more of a alpha test if you include all the bugs.

Now we have real date. Open beta starts 8th. They give some cape for cb testers. I'll atleast play for while. Not going to touch Swordsman online. Not my cup of tea.

What makes this game interesting to people? I never played Archlord 1, so there's no nostalgia factor for me. Serious question and would enjoy an in-depth answer if anyone has the time.

Can't anwser for anyone else, i;ve never played the first one either(aside from a bit way the **** back). But it has a strange feel similar to Soul of the Ulimate nation for me. which is why ill check it out for awhile. Graphics aren't that good especially for a game releasing in 2014, draw distance is shit, and that's what i dislike most about mmos. But past that it's basic as all hell, but it still has a strangely nice feel to it to me, which is weird as hell in a way.

Sooo the game is OK so far. I'm only annoyed by the super poor performance it has, the engine is not optimised at all. Even at low gfx settings I can't get more then 35fps and on low the game looks uber poor xD On max settings it looks good and I get 25-30fps which is almost the same as low so something is wrong here xD

Also some skills instead of having a normal effect have these black squares appear xD

    PS
It's not my PC AMD FX 8350 + AMD 7950 GPU.

Yeah poorly optimized. You need to OC you CPU up to 4,8 GHz to get decent FPS. Hopefully we see in near future mantle mmorpg's and not so much bad directx games.

I don't know why you guys are having issues with performance.

I haven't had the slightest stutter on an i5-4670k (4.0 OC), R9 270 OC Edition, and 8GB of RAM.

Also, for a free to play game, the graphics are quite good.

Show me a FRAPS screen shot with a lot of people/mobs on the screen and then I will believe you. Also some people find 30fps a smooth experience, but not me. I made a topic on their forum how the game is poorly optimized and they deleted my post lol
So webzen FU shift+del on the game.

Sure, here you go. Best I could do since the zone I'm questing in isn't very populated at the moment. Next time I head to the capital or I find a bunch of people, I'll snag another for ya.

I have Intel i7 4770k oc'ed to 4.0 GHZ, Nvidia GTX 770, 16 gigs of ram, I have no problem running this game at all with highest settings. If anyone is looking for a American guild to join then I suggest joining the CRUNN faction and doing a application which is really quick on this topic http://forum.webzen.com/forum/en/arc...side-us-server

Yeah, has some weird ass vibe about it that makes it enjoying to play. Can't exactly put my name on it, simple yet satisfying.

I think it's the combat animations or something, haha. Too bad the game is dead already and it's only been out for 2 days

I'd say it's not dead, prime time seems good. But a game running on primetime hours doesn't usually go long especially MMOs. FFXI lasted along time on that alone, but the fact that all the servers are so split up doesn't mean well IMO. It is a pvp game of course, so there'll will be latency no matter what and it's an even bigger problem for pvp which matters most. There's channels to the game to so who knows, getting to the 41 cap is rather easy it seems anyway.(which will most likely go up as it's released)
Only time will tell, plus everyone just looks at it and goes "another generic piece of crap" usually. Which it is to be honest, but it feels alot better then most other mmos. Had more fun playing this then swordsman online.

Assuming they don't **** this up and add OP shit to the cash shop, i think it'll do alright. I just want some pvp, which is seems this will do, but time will tell. Avatar items seems like they maybe P2W but from what i've seen you can get avatar items from drops i think so who knows.
Hopefully it'll last me till ArcheAge.

Got lvl 23 today, so far I'm enjoying myself even thou the game should be in Alpha stage not open to public. Also the strange skill lag the game has mixed with real game lag makes some trippy pvp, really hard to play skillfully it's a total mash fest...
