I'm loving this game... really immersive and cool. The open world is fantastic and the new big open world map is something beautifull
yeah, I know, tons of grammar errors. Sorry :-(
What I dislike about the forum recently is that no one goes into detail about anything. Seems like only a select few still type in paragraphs.
Common guys: Explain what you like in the game, and why. I swear that was half of the fun as an OnRPGer, proving your opinions, or flaming other peoples bad opinions (good ol' days when flaming wasn't regulated). If you think the game is shit, explain the flaws you've found while playing.
God, you'd think this would be normal activity by now, but every year the Free MMORPG section gets shittier and shittier, and less and less text.
This thread has been useless so far on explaining whether or not this game is shit. But at least I've learned it has tornado's... That's cool right?
I like the game well kinda i didnīt used too because they changed too many things like dumbed down things, you could customize weapons, abilities and battleframes and they removed other things.
Things i donīt like about the game. you need pay real money or farm shitloads of crystite and convert to credits for red beans to get more battleframe skins because of you start of with 4 battleframe skins Same thing goes for hairsstyles, battleframe paterns and to unlock other battleframes you need to lvl up a frame to lvl 40 or farm alot of crystite and convert it credits and use credits to buy a pilot license at market.

overall I'm liking Firefall again right now, mainly because there's actual story stuff you can follow, albeit they're mainly tied to the new Ares jobs. I agree that R5 took dumbed down resources & crafting a bit too much, however I'd think anyone could agree that a QL range from 1-1000 was nuts, even with blending. As for crafting, the global constraint system feels eh now, mainly because it just encouraged people to kill their abilities in their quest to min/max their guns and HP and just lead to bland, cookie-cutter builds all over the place. Granted same thing is going to happen with the new system, but at least abilities can be leveled up properly now along with guns & stuff.
I'm also glad they took what feels like a lot of the time-gating out when it comes to crafting, if anyone remembers how long it took to craft your average guns & stuff. Yes, I'm aware that they merely changed the gating from time to resources (especially RP), but I would rather be able to speed stuff up by doing well, than just sit there waiting or cough up the beans for it. I'm also happy to see that they ditched the friggen profession system. If there's any crafting specialization, I feel that it should be implicit, not explicit.
They do need to fix the pilot token business though. Locking new frame unlocks behind a max lvl barrier just feels so, eeeehhhh. For me, I'd rather just go 5 tokens at 20 (or rather one token for every 4 levels up to 20), then the other 5 at 40. Or heck, just hand out 10 free tokens for completing the initial campaign. That way, people will get their first 2-3 unlocks early on like before, so the whole unlock business doesn't feel as bad. Also, escort jobs can go DIAF as per usual. Finally, they need to fix the open world Ares mission not spawning as often as they feel like they should in Coral Forest, at least the lvl 15-24 areas.
And overall, for good or for ill, at least R5 should friggen stick to a plan this time now that it's actually "launching".
Firefall feels fun, can be a mixed bag, watch streams if ya want, official forums can be good or full of vets PO'd about the changes.
Hoping that Antarctica comes back and not stay as an instance. Miss the place.
The job board missions are pretty bad in all honesty. Not only do they basically play out the same regardless of what level you're at (expect to do the same jobs that you're doing in copacabana now when you reach Devil's Tusk) but they're just poorly made in general.
The job objectives spawns are just all over the place. Pick up mission in Shanty Town, run to trans hub so you can talk to some jackass, then run to Thump dump so you can defend against a hisser wave, then run all the way back to Shanty town so you can deliver your crate of hisser dicks to some other guy. It's just tedious. And don't even get me started on escort AI.
yeah, I know, tons of grammar errors. Sorry :-(
As for me spamming the jobs I just want the Fedora Hat and Aviators.
Don't think that Chosen squad had a say in this at the Bay of Bones.
Yeah escort missions are the worst. The NPCs die off so fast! Not to mention it's almost unbearable on rocky terrain where the pathfinding flips out. I hope they are addressing the escort missions soon.
Now it starts for real real.
lvl 15 atm
yo im kind of lost, i haven't looked up anything about this game, so i dont know whats to be expected at later levels.
all im doing atm is heading to job boards and doing 1 quest at a time, or just randomly dropping a thumper and completing it.

Are there any story quests after Blackwater anomaly and is it worth leveling accord battleframes.
as for leveling the accord frames, look at the perks that you can unlock with them and level the ones that have perks you like.
Edit: forgot that DT is supposed to have an instance for itself once it's completely opened.

Well, I'm a naysayer I guess.
Played for awhile, enjoyed it immensely, and was excited when they announced launch. I bought the Digital Deluxe version for $100.
Then the servers went down on the 15th, they updated to 1.0, and the game I played is gone. I'm out $100. They nerfed my favourite classes. They installed level-gating. They threw away my beloved crafting system. They cut down dynamic content by 75%. Essentially what I enjoyed, is gone. And I'm just expected to accept this new game with open arms. No thanks. Moving on.
I am in the same boat, used to love the game but now they killed it with the patch. Bye 100$, never again. They took everything that was awesome about firefall and basically dumbed it down so to speak. Now it's just like your average MMORPG with shooting mechanics.
The game used to be dynamic, you could go where you wanted. Now it's instead just a progression from zone to zone until you run out of content. Oh yeah, let's not mention that immense power creep that they added. Now instead of being pretty much competitive from the get go with limited vertical progression. You have to grind your ass out for gear just like your average MMORPG.

The game is unplayable massive lag only thing that works good is the event. Been waiting for 20+ min for the job board to show up and 5mins to accept a job.
