I'm going to college soon and I'm getting a new laptop. I looking for the latest specs possible so I can play many of the new games coming out. I'd also like for it to be as lightweight as possible so I can carry it around more easily, but this is more of a perk than something that's necessary. I can't go over $2000. Any suggestions?
You need to keep in mind that a lighter laptop means that they're thinner which in turn means that the cooling is going to be less adequate.
OfT: I like how you're adapting to your new persona.
OnT: Princess has linked you two great laptops now. I've had a hands on with the GS and it's a majorly kick-ass laptop. It doesn't have extreme cooling issues, but as princess pointed out, a smaller laptop has less room for cooling. That being said I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if you need a compact laptop. If you can get the GT series, linked first, because of the higher-end graphics card. The GTX 880M is as fast, more or less, as a GTX 760 desktop GPU. The 870M is just slightly under that. So faster than a 750 Ti but not as fast as a 760.
