Default Anyone Found any Hidden Gems in the Steam Indie Section?

I've been looking for some smaller games to let's play and I recently came across Sparkle. It looks kinda of strange but it had a massive number of positive reviews. It was on sale for 49 cents, so I decided to go ahead and give it a whirl, and it's beautiful

So my fellow gaming enthusiasts, let's save each other a ton of time and list all the hidden gems we've found on steam!

    Mine are:

    1. Sparkle 2 EVO
    2. Botanicula
    3. Splice
    4. Hotline Miami
    5. Blackbay Asylum

I have to say, sparkle does look like an interesting game to spend a few mins on when you are bored, I like that people look thought steam to find less popular interesting games, it gives a chance for the developer to be more noticed.
If you play, Play for fun.

    Rise of Mythos
http://www.gamefuse.com/rise-of-mythos - a card game where your pretty cards are summoned in 3 lanes moves and attacks each turn by itself, the illustrations have won my heart and I really like the tournaments that let you use 5-10 random booster packs.

    Heroes of the Realm
http://hotr.ogplanet.com/en/ - another card game but this one has a completely automated strategy gameplay, the card illustrations are superior and collecting them, managing your city is interesting.

and it's not really indie but you can always pick up Just Cause 2. Ignore the storyline and embrace the spectacle of attaching a police officer to an airplane and flying off in the sunset with the officer swinging behind... true story.

I found that the game Metal Dead was really fun!

Its a point and click puzzle game kinda like those escape games. The whole premise of that game is that you and your metal loving friend are driving out in the zombie apocalypse and are trying to find the source.

The whole feel of the game is very funny and where ever you click there is always something to be said. A lot of the characters also have great personalities and really help the game's appeal.

I think is like 5 bucks and well worth it too.

Botanicula is tops. I bought that on release day. You might like http://machinarium.net/demo/ also, same studio, earlier game. Not QUITE as rad as Botanicula. I wish they'd port Botanicula to PSN. Machinarium made it.

I dunno, the reason I liked Botanicula so much is because it calmed me down. I listened to some of Machinarium's soundtrack while looking at it's art style and I just didn't get the same numbing effect.
