I don't know of five genre's, considering I'm more in to electronic music than I am metal. But there's a band who basically created their own genre of metal called "SID Metal". Mostly because they use the commodore 64's SID chip as an instrument.

Machinae Supremacy is the band, and here's one of their songs (my personal favorite):

I also recommend the songs "Edge and Pearl" and "Dark City".

This is very interesting but it's basically power metal.

    1) Black Metal (only Europe and Asia; Darkspace, Borgne, Drudkh, Vallendusk, Burzum, etc)
    2) Swedish Death Metal (The Project Hate MCMXCIX, Sanctification, Vomitory)
    3) Gothic Metal (The Vision Bleak, Sins Of Thy Beloved)
    4) Techno-Industrial Metal (Classic White Zombie, Kevorkian Death Cycle)
    5) Classic Thrash Metal (Metallica, Megadeth)

I don't really listen to any other forms of metal.

    Darkspace - Switzerland

It's instrumental but it has all the makings of hard rock/mid-paced power metal.

And that's what I'm looking up now, thanks for that. I can get with this kind of music any day. Do you happen to know any artists that have albums that consist of this type of music?
