Star Ocean: TTEOT bug?

I've been playing Star Ocean 3 lately, and throughout the entire game I get a message at the beginning of battles and in dungeons and stuff that says "Loading data from disc" and it's really annoying. One time it took half an hour to load a battle. >_> Does anyone know what's causing this to happen? I'm using the Greatest Hits version, by the way.

I don't think it's my console, cause my other games run fine. And the disc isn't damaged very much at all. I've heard that it's a bug that was in the JP version, but they fixed it in the Director's Cut version.

Well, I've got the Director's Cut and it works just fine.

That's because they fixed the bug when they made the Director's Cut version. I dunno if the Greatest Hits version is the same as the Director's Cut version.

sometimes a console's len is sensitive....check ur console or the disc..better yet..chg the disc just in case

Yeah, it's the disc. I just noticed a bunch of scratches on it. :/ But it's gonna cost me 5$ that I don't have to fix it. >_>
