Nevermind, my writing skills aren't as colorful as they used to be.

reviews are opinion. But they also must not be one sided. They have to weigh the good and the bad together. You just can't downgrade a game totally just because you hate the game in general.

Pretty sure the staffers will have the right to say no to a completely biased review. They have been doing this for a while

Ta-dah! You've discovered the definition of a REVIEW! Level up twice!

I so wish I could get in on this, I think my writing could stand up to it. But lately, all but the most awesome MMO's have been boring me out of my mind. I don't think I could give a fair and impartial review for the MMO community. Maybe I can review the weird ones... but that might be unfair.

I am very interested in this.

Only 1 question. Who owns the rights to the reviews. Example could I still list them on my blog?

And reviews for what.. I havent seen a review section? or is it for the dead frontpage where nobody watches on?
60-75% of all Onrpg's traffic is on the front page

All reviews written for Onrpg will become the sole property of Onrpg.com. You can link to them from your own blog if you wish though.

Previews and reviews are expected to be submitted every 2 weeks. If you cannot consistently meet this deadline then discussions would be held about this.

    is perfect English required?
    Or an other question:
How about foreign language reviews, such as German?
I'm sure there are a lot of ppl out there, that don't understand much English.

They must be in English as quite frankly I do not speak any other language and could not edit them.

Your English has to be pretty good. It is not my job to spend 10 hours or more correcting the grammar of a submission

Heh, I think it's great that OnRPG is paying for reviews now! I just hope people take it seriously. To do a good review/preview you have to know a lot about the game, not just speculate. I hardly buy stuff online, perhaps this will fuel people with the money for stuff like cash shop items and such.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing all the great reviews/previews everyone else will be working on!
I'm still looking for that one game for me...

Before I get called a jerk or whatnot, make sure you read the application thread and follow directions. I've gotten about 2 dozen entries so far and almost all of them did not follow the directions given.

I write reviews for freeware games.
I might have to search for them again.

Now I have even more of a reason to continue writing my reviews on NoobToob!!!!!

Considering we didn't pay in the past and people were still writing I think $10 is a reason to get up and write. Especially since 1000-1500 word reviews of games can be written in 30-60 minutes it works out to a nice payout for little work :P

Atiari, you still didn't answer my question...

Is it fine if I dig up my past reviews I've done here, on Onrpg, and send them to you?

We're looking for new content, not old. Sorry. If you can get Sandman or FabianN or even Gabriel to verify you indeed wrote them I would look at them and likely offer you a spot on staff.

I sent my 1710 word review of FEAR to Brian, I used correct spelling and grammar, two mistakes that I corrected and I sent another copy to him. Tell him to read it =P. That 1710 word review took 35-40 minutes. I can get 1000 words in like, 10-15 minutes.

Well, not really. Besides, I really enjoy playing MMO's, and I can write a 1000 word review with near perfect grammar and spelling in 15-20 minutes or less. 10$ Is a lot for enjoying what I do most and 15 minutes =/

I hope your setting an age limit as well. I don't enjoy reading reviews from immature, or biased reviewers.

Age has nothing to do with anything. I am twelve, and I can write up some damn good reviews. I never bias any of my reviews. I put both pros and cons. If there are no cons, that's kind of pathetic, since, every game has a con and I will do whatever to find at least one. I find it extremely annoying when people judge other people by their age. "Lulz you iz under (Age goes here) u has the intellectual power of a dog lollooloololololooll". Really, I want to freaking bash their head against their monitor for being so ignorant. Anyways, once I get accepted ( I hope ) I'll make a copious amount of reviews. Hey Atiari, you're paying us right after you read our reviews and approve, right? Or is there some pay day?
