I'm not sure what path to take in college. While computer science does cover programming it deals more with solving problems in an algorithmic process. Now on the other hand computer programming doesn't study much about algorithms but the available methods to develop/maintain software and implement given tasks. If i wan't to go into Programming would it be better to have a bachelor degree in CS or CP? I hear most jobs for programming look for degrees in Computer Science.
he just stated the different above kinda, uhm, i don't see as many colleges giving people a choice of CP as much as they offer CS but computer science just sounds more difficult xD
I've been taking Computer Programming for quite some time, now...
About 3 years, now. I'm sure I'll be taking a 4th year, next year. As far as it goes, I really like it. This is the path I would choose, If I were you, Inugami.
There is no degree called Computer Programming, Computer Programming is most times called CSS or Computer Software and Systems. And then there is Computer Engineneering which is different. So it's the same thing.
I have another question about Computer Science.
Would you consider it a good or bad major? These days you see many people who go to college, major in CS, and get shipped off by companies to foreign countries underpaid(singapore, india, malaysia, etc). I really love learning about computers and programming but i don't want to be stuck in a bad major.
