i just got it, but its just too slow for me. Everything happens at a slow pace, i really like how its set up, better than almost all mmorpgs but the combat is too slow. It might or might not be lag, but i would try and kill a goblin and 5 minutes later see him killing me way to my side

A few starting tips.... If you are new it is probably best for you to start on the Phoenix server. If you wish to log out ...remember to type /exit and don't fall for the /die command some players may tell you to use... all it does is kill your toon - lol. You can get help by asking for a mentor to guide you by requesting one on /mentor.

If you wish for a more "hard-core" experience and you're 18 years of age or older...then halberd is the server for you. You are safe up to lvl 6 and hopefully by then you will have found a guild or someone higher lvl to take you under their wing. It can be rough... fair warning... it is a player versus player server and after lvl 6 you can be killed by anyone who feels like it. With any luck you will either kill your attacker and survive or run your butt off to safety.. but if you die just remember to type /rtt and you will be fine.

Rubies is a rich and awesome game. You will meet many types of people on the different servers. Some are nice... some are not. Most are nice. If you play on Phoenix there are GM's that will help you if there are problems. If you play on Halberd.... you can complain all you want...but it won't do u any good.. Halberd is a Free-for-All... anything goes. I personally play on Halberd most of the time ... but i can be spotted on the other two servers as well.

The best part about the game is the game play interaction and limitless character builds as well as the rich game play environment. I've tried other RPG's and this one in my opinion really blows them away. It is a bit demanding on your computer so if you don't have at least 512 MB Ram you may find it a bit disconcerting. Other than that.... I highly recommend you at least give it a try. You won't regret it... and like many other people you will most likely fall in love with it while making a lot of friends and perhaps a few enemies ... lol.
