What stands out though are the stories of the community. The outpouring of support and love when a dev leaves the team, or a member of the community dies.

The players behind City of Heroes turned out en masse this weekend to express appreciation to the game's creators, demonstrate resolve, and announce a new project.
The online heroes of Paragon City are currently in an epic battle. Not against the forces of crime and evil that they have been facing for eight years, but against the decision of a company that is preparing to turn off the game servers and end a game that has been running since April 2004.
The City of Heroes community are a group of passionate players who will stop at nothing to save the game they love.
For anyone who does play, used to play, or worked on City of Heroes, this weekend was an emotional train wreck.
