Dead Frontier is a survival horror MMORPG taking place in a post-apocalyptic city on the verge of being overrun by an endless horde of zombies. A shady pharmaceutical company tried to create a wonder drug, but it all went horribly wrong. Soon, the entire world is plunged in chaos overnight and the few people left are forced to fend for themselves.
Business Model: Free-to-Play
Microtransactions: Yes, there are optional in-game purchases available.
Taking Stock: Food, ammunition, and medical supplies are rare, so there’s a lot more to staying alive than just defeating monsters.
Player Driven: There isn’t a single NPC vendor to be found anywhere! Everything is either bought from, or sold to other real players resulting in a realistic, yet highly unstable end-of-days economy.
Should I Stay or Should I Go Now: Choose to scrap by in the last remaining human outpost, or barricade yourself away in an abandoned building deep within the dangerous inner city. Thriving away from civilization is hard, but the potential rewards are great.
All Hands on Deck: On occasion the undead army will bolster their numbers and assault a key settlement in an effort finally extinguish humanity forever - you can't let that happen. Work together with thousands of other players in real-time to fight off the horde and protect hope for the future.
Dead and Deserted: Fairview is a massive metropolis housing miles worth of lootable offices, supermarkets, and restaurants.
All By Myself: Avoid other survivors entirely by utilizing the single-player version of the game where you venture into dangerous areas alone. This adds to the feeling of isolation and ramps up the intensely eerie atmosphere no matter where you go.
