  Gate to Heavens Overview

Gate to Heavens is a 3D interactive MMORPG that will capture the interest of any online gamer seeking a unique experience.  Upon entering the world of Iris, you will be given small quests in order to help your character adapt to his or her surroundings.  Simple tasks such as killing the ever-so-weak "mutant", to harder tasks such as killing the powerful "Scorpio Devil", will be given to you based on your progression in this world.  Just how far do you think you can go?  Will you be one of the very few players to reach the highest level?  Are you strong enough to prove your valor in Gonryun Tournement?  Your destiny is in your own hands.

Player vs Monster:

Training your character to become stronger is one of the main goals in GTH.  As you progress to higher levels, you will become much stronger and capable of handling stronger monsters.  Stronger monsters will give you more experience, and zen experience, but the chance of being overwhelmed by monsters increases.  You will also be able to wear stronger armor, and equip better weapons.  These weapons and armor can be upgraded by the blacksmith in town, so save up your money and option stones!

Experience points will increase your character's level, while zen experience points increase your zen level.  As your zen level increases, you will be able to learn stronger skills and abilities.  Simply go to your master and ask about your skill upgrades.  You will need the necessary amount of skill orbs, zen experience points, and a high enough zen level to learn each skill.  Think carefully about how you allocate your points.  Eventually, you will be able to make every skill as strong as it can be, but it is still wise to think over how you upgrade your skills in the early stages of your GTH career.

Player vs Player:

The PvP system in GTH is made up of many different factors.  Depending on how often you kill a player in the game, your name will become a darker shade of red.  It is advised that you think carefully before killing another player, for if you yourself die with a red name, you will lose an extraordinary amount of experience as compared to someone who dies with a white name.  Players with a white name show that they have done no harm to any other player, and should death fall upon them, they will lose a relatively low amount of experience.  Players with a pink name show that they have attempted to kill a player.  If a player with a pink name dies, then he or she will lose slightly more experience than that of a white named character.  Once your player dies, you will be sent back to the town you began in.

As you kill players, your name will get a darker shade of red, and you will obtain "PK points." As these PK points get higher, the time it takes for your red name to turn back to white also gets higher.  Be very careful when your PK points become large because if you die, you will lose a ton of experience, potentially undoing much hard work and effort to raise your level.  The time it takes to clear a red name can range from a few minutes, to a few hours, to a few days.  In order to attack a player in a PK map, hold down the "ctrl" key, then click the desired player.  You do not need to hold down the ctrl key if you attempt to attack a player with a red name.

Dan Guilds

Over time, you may wish to start a guild.  Guilds in the world of Iris are known as "Dans."  These Dans can be used as clans, and if you decide to create one, you can invite others to join.  Let's say you wish to create a Dan called "newplayers", use the command "@createdan newplayers mark.bmp".  To create your own Dan mark, go into your GTH folder, find the original mark.bmp image, and overwrite that image with your own. Starting a Dan takes effort, time, and money!  You will need 4,000,000 nak in order to create your Dan successfully, so think carefully before deciding whether or not you wish to manage your own Dan.

If you are invited by another player to join his or her dan, you may accept, or decline.  Dans will play an important part in GTH, for this is how rivalries and alliances start.  Think carefully about whose Dan you join and whose you don't, because it may affect your ability to train your character in hostile territory.  Aliliances with other players will be a crucial factor in your success and survival.

Dan Wars are a fun way to test your skills against another Dan.  There is no experience loss if you die in a Dan war, simply speak with the referee at the Relic and he will tell you what to do.  It is recommended, however, that you have a relatively large Dan if you wish to be victorious over the other team.

Boss Monsters:

In each map that you visit, there will be a Boss monster that rules the area.  Should you feel that you are up to the challenge, you may seek these creatures out and engage them in battle.  Be very careful, these monsters do very large amounts of damage at faster speeds than that of a normal monster.  Bosses also deal an "area of effect" attack that will hurt anybody near the target it is attacking.  If you see a player fighting a boss and you do not want to get hurt, it is advised that you keep your distance from the fight or else you will recieve damage.  It is recommended that you have a full pack of RA charges to keep your health up when fighting a Boss.

If you are successful in defeating the Boss, you will be rewarded with rare drops that are otherwise difficult to obtain from other monsters.  Depending on your luck, you may find very rare items such as the "Mysterious Stone" or the "Sage Stone." Keep teleportation scrolls with you at all times as well.  If things get too hard and you see that you are going to die, right click the teleport scroll in your inventory and flee.  Scroll can be bought by vendors in town.

Premium Items:

For those player who seek to gain a slight advantage, you have the option of purchasing premium items from the online store.  Items such as combat potion that increase your attack and defense, and ghostly potions that increase your accuracy and evade rate, can prove very useful when things get more and more difficult in the game.  Official prices for premium items are on the GTHeu forums and will be displayed on the GTHeu premium store once it is completed.

Please let us know in the Forums if something needs to be updated in this game's profile.
