Nexon Polls Players on Presidential Debate in Continued Partnership with Rock the Vote
Nexon America’s MapleStory players voted that Barack Obama had won the first presidential debate by a 62-38 percent margin over Mitt Romney. This was the result from 7847 votes cast from players in the United States in a survey posted this past weekend. International players of Nexon America’s MapleStory service, cast 4020 votes with Obama coming out on top 79-21 percent. In total, 11,867 votes were cast with 68 percent of all Nexon America’s MapleStory players favoring Obama in the first presidential debate.

Obama was favored in the debate by MapleStory players in 42 states, except for Delaware, Idaho, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Utah where Romney was preferred.
The first poll, ran the first week of September, asked Nexon America’s MapleStory players who they supported in the upcoming presidential election, and Obama was the overwhelming favorite, receiving 80 percent of the votes.
Nexon America’s MapleStory, which has millions of players in North America, will have another poll closer to the election and will kick off an in-game “Election Quest” in the coming weeks featuring two characters campaigning in-game.
