World of Warcraft Announces Mists of Pandaria Release Date
The news every WoW fan has been waiting for has finally come! Mists of Pandaria goes live on September 25th! The collector’s edition of the fourth expansion will only be available in stores. For the first time ever though there will be a digital deluxe edition containing the in game items from the collector’s edition. Presales for the standard and digital deluxe are now available on the World of Warcraft website.
Study Finds 50% of Mobile Gamers Play at Home
A study commissioned by PopCap Games has found that half of mobile gamers primarily play on mobile devices at home. The most popular places in the house are the couch and bed. 10% confessed to playing while in church, a movie theater or while driving. Playing while watching television was also quite popular with 41% saying they did.
Facebook Game Outernauts Launches
EA and Insomniac Games have teamed up to bring us a new adventure roleplaying social game set in a unique universe. In this universe you can capture and train exotic alien beasts for battle. It has the humor that Insomniac is for famous for in it’s Spyro and Ratchet & Clank games.
German Advocacy Group May Persue Legal Action Against Diablo III
A German consumer group is claiming Blizzard used deceptive advertising while marketing Diablo III. They have given Blizzard until July 27th to respond to the claims that the always on DRM was not advertised. At the same time internet café owners in Korea have come together to file a class action lawsuit over a lack of functionality since launch.
