EverQuests Age of Rediscovery: Fippy and Vulak

REVIEW

EverQuest, the game everyone has heard of. A lot of people have played for a short period of time at least and it is credited with being one of the first Western Massively Multiplayer games to hit the mainstream all the way back in 1999. Fast forward to the present and over the last decade it has had seventeen expansions, given birth to its sequel, EverQuest II and several PlayStation 2 games. But starting today, one server will be taking a page from Prince, and partying like its 1999. The clocks are being rolled back to when EverQuest was just a baby. Back when I had the pleasure of having my first experience with the game.

Fists of Fu Review: Not Fond of that Kung-Fu That You Do

REVIEW

Outspark is looking to satisfy gamers with not one, but two action MMOs this year. While one of those titles isn't quite ready for the masses just yet, the other is good and raring to go. Fists of Fu is a free-to-play action MMO set in anime version of oriental China. With beat 'em up style action, Fists of Fu attempts to create an experience simple enough for anyone to get into, but perhaps this experience may come up as a little too simple.

GetAmped 2 Review – Crazy Crossover Fighting

REVIEW

Back in 2000, a little company named CyberStep created GetAmped (GA), a crazy, over the top fighting game with strong emphasis on near limitless customization. With hundreds of accessories, weapons and a skin editor, you could play as anyone you ever wanted. Despite having such an amazing concept, the experience was bogged down with sketchy gameplay, along with visuals that were a complete eyesore. Several changes to the game were made down the line, but it still felt shallow and dated.

League of Legends: Karma’s a Bitch, Ain’t it?

REVIEW

Greetings fellow summoners! This is the patch v1.0.0.110 article for League of Legends, the game containing the sexiest of Buddhas. This patch sees inflation hit Runeterra as Doran raises his prices, mages feel a bit less runic, but a bit more magical and Karma, The Enlightened One takes to the fields of justice.

One Lukewarm FPS Serving in the Form of Project Blackout

REVIEW

There are types of food that doesn't taste quite right at the first bite. But as soon as you swallow the measly portion in your mouth, the aftertaste begins to resurface. But although there is no strong craving for it, there is still that consistent pull that makes you throw caution to the wind and just shamelessly dig in. To stop beating around the bush, the free-to-play online tactical FPS Project Blackout is simply like that. It looks unappealing, and the features are nothing you haven't seen in other FPS games. It doesn't fall into the "gourmet" group, but it certainly doesn't taste like trash food either.

EverQuest II Extended Review: NeverQuest?

REVIEW

EverQuest Online Adventures has its own special place in the annals of MMO history. The MMORPG that defined a genre, Sony’s historic title paved the way for online multiplayer games for years to come. Fans were naturally excited when its long awaited sequel hit shelves in 2005, but EverQuest II has failed to generate the same level of interest and sales when compared to other games in its class. With the market for pay-to-play MMOs notoriously hard to stay profitable in, many games are switching to payment free models. EverQuest II Extended follows suit by offering adventurers a cost-free route into Norrath 2.0, but is it worth your time?

World of Tanks Review: Tank You Very Much

REVIEW

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few months, you've probably heard of World of Tanks; a third-person tank combat game that's become a breakaway hit for the Russian developers. I've been playing the game on and off for the past few months and so the good folks at OnRPG asked me to write a review.
