Loading...Techland Publishing revealed the release date for Piccolo’s upcoming emotional journey, Arise: A Simple Story. Piccolo is a team of three friends who went to pursue their dream of creating video games, and Piccolo is Italian for “small”. What started as a three-person team is now a tight-knit 15-person team. In Arise, players go through the lives of two people, where memories come to life, and time bends to their will. Each chapter will be a turning point in a man’s life, filled with relatable moments of joy and sorrow.
As the protagonist’s life ends, the player’s journey begins. Relive crucial events of his life as you make your way towards the mesmerizing light beckoning from a mountaintop, using your newfound gift of time manipulation to help you overcome many obstacles along the way.
Alexis Corominas, one of the founders of Piccolo had this to say:
“Arise is an emotional journey through a lifetime full of bliss and sorrow, ultimately a tale everyone can relate to. It allows you to explore the many seasons of life illustrated by evocative environments, and relive memories with the help of a unique time manipulation gameplay mechanic. Our goal is to let players reminisce and reflect on their own lives as they progress through the story.
