Playstation – State of Play Announcements

Yesterday, Playstation revealed their “State of Play”, which contained a wealth of announcements for upcoming games in the Playstation universe of consoles. Marvel’s Iron Man VR: 

Players will don the Playstation VR headset to take the role of Iron Man, firing up the Repulsor Jets and wielding his high-tech arsenal to do battle in the skies. Players can also upgrade their technology in Tony Stark’s garage to customize the suit and its abilities. It’s coming later in 2019!

No Man’s Sky Beyond VR:

No Man’s Sky Beyond VR is a part of No Man’s Sky’s upcoming summer update. Players will receive this update for free if they are an existing player. Now players will be able to explore these alien planets in an all-new immersive way, creating new adventures for long-time fans and newcomers alike.

Blood & Truth – Story Trailer (PS VR):

Blood & Truth is coming on May 28th, 2019, and lets you star in your own action movie blockbuster. A Playstation VR exclusive, players battle through crime-ridden London as the elite soldier, Ryan Marks. Your family is in danger thanks to a criminal empire, and it’s time to make them pay with incredible gun play as you rappel across the city, parachute down, and deal with criminal scum.

Playstation VR – Next Wave of Games for Spring/Summer:

There are quite a few VR games coming this Spring and Summer to the Playstation VR: Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted, Trover Saves the Universe, Vacation Simulator, and much more. Here’s a teaser of what’s to come.

Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted:

Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted is based on the original Five Nights games, and is a collection of VR experiences based on them. But there will also be some new, terrifying experiences as well. Players will use the PS Move controllers to interact with the door, control lights in the offices and much more. For the first time in a Freddy’s game, you can also earn collectibles that you can play with at the prize counter.

Concrete Genie: Story Trailer: 

Concrete Genie is on the way to PS4 later this year. This trailer shows just why Ash decides to paint the town and teases in-game mechanics that players can look forward to. Concrete Genie comes later this year, and also supports PSVR.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled: 

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled revealed that there will be PS4 exclusive content for the upcoming racer. This includes Retro skins for Crash, Coco, & Cortex, as well as Retro karts and a Retro Track. They also announced that it will include content from Crash Nitro Kart, in addition to all the fun stuff from Crash Team Racing.

“Since the very beginning, we’ve said we’re giving fans a whole lot more in Crash™ Team Racing Nitro-Fueled,” said Thomas Wilson, co-studio head at Beenox. “As fans, we know the important role that Crash Nitro Kart plays in the Crash franchise among the community, so we’re thrilled to be remastering the tracks, karts and even the battle modes to give players an awesome Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled experience.”

Observation – Story Trailer:

Devolver Digital has a title coming to Playstation 4 later this year, and is a sci-fi thriller named Observation. The goal is to figure out what happened to Dr. Emma Fisher, and the crew of her mission through the lens of the station’s artificial intelligence S.A.M. Players will control S.A.M. by operating the station’s control systems, cameras, and tools to uncover the secrets of the crew and S.A.M. himself.

Days Gone – Story Trailer:

There’s more footage of the upcoming Days Gone here, and this might be the best trailer yet. Deacon St. John is ready to destroy some Freakers next month, but here’s the latest trailer to get you hyped for it. New characters, new scenes, and more await. Days Gone looks thrilling and intense.

Mortal Kombat 11 – Old Skool vs. New Skool:

The latest Mortal Kombat trailer might be the best one of the entire Playstation State of Play event. In Mortal Kombat 11, timelines will clash like never before. The current-era Kombatants will have to deal with their past selves in this upcoming fighter. Are you Old Skool or New Skool?
