Angels Online: Mysterious Area in Lost Atlantis Preview #1

Beautiful scenes and various monsters are only part of Angels Online. Today the folks from Angels Online team are going to provide a series of detailed preview of all mysterious areas in the new expansion Lost Atlantis.

In a word, the Totem Battle is a unique PVP system in Angels Online and the mysterious areas are materials monopolized by those guilds which have occupied the relative totems.

The battle is a competition among the 4 factions, with guilds fighting for the chance to capture the totems on the 12 maps. It’s held each Wednesday and Saturday. Only by winning battles can guilds monopolize the new territories-these mysterious areas.

Apart from the original mysterious areas, the guild which occupies the [Dragon Graveyard], [Thorn Wasteland] and [Thunder Ruins] can obtain an extra advanced mysterious area where the levels of the monsters and materials are higher than those in the previous territories. This area is geared towards higher level players.

What’s more, production players can easily collect a lot more materials. There are no aggressive monsters in the mysterious areas, so lower level players can level up fast by defeating them. Players can talk to the NPC “Manor Keeper” to enter the mysterious areas.

Production players can collect Level 51-81 materials after they enter the advanced mysterious area. The bank here helps players to deposit materials they collect. For fighting players, the passive monsters in the mysterious area not only helps them level up fast but also helps their pets accumulate experience. What’s more, monsters with high drop rates are available for all players on each Saturday.

1. Level 31-40 monsters: 6:00pm to 7:00pm
2. Level 41-50 monsters: 7:00pm to 8:00pm
3. Level 51-60 monsters: 8:00pm to 9:00pm
4. Special BOSSes: They will only appear once after 9:00pm. However, their attack abilities and drops are considerable.

Priston Tale 2: Character Class and additional Features

Wicked Interactive, a North American MMO publisher, has officially released new details including the character class details for its highly anticipated MMORPG, Priston Tale 2: The Second Enigma, the sequel to the award-winning Priston Tale game.

Priston Tale 2 will include two different races and five different base character classes including: Warrior, Huntress, Knight, Disciple and Magician. Warriors and Knights focus on melee range combat, using weapons such as swords, axes and pole arms to deal damage while the Huntress class is the only class that focuses exclusively on ranged combat through the use of bows and javelins. The Priestess and the Magician focus exclusively on magic abilities. The priestess class focuses more on defensive and support magic, such as healing and buffs, where as the magician focuses more on offensive magic and high damage.
Priston Tale 2’s skill systems include a Seesaw Skill System that enables characters from the same class or subclass to have a very different build because developing one skill influences the development of other skills. Therefore, no two characters are exactly alike. Also included in the game is a new Union Skill System which naturally encourages cooperative and party-based play. There will also be two new Item Systems in the game: the Socked System and the Crafting System.

Also included in Priston Tale 2 is an extensive PvP System, featuring clan wars, party battles and intense one-on-one battles. PvP combat takes place in dedicated warfare zones which are also filled with extremely strong and hostile monsters, mixing in elements of PvE (Player versus Environment) combat. In addition, Priston Tale 2’s Combat System is based on real-time action. Upon selecting a skill to use, the character performs the corresponding attack instantly.

Attacks can also be chained together using a combo system for more powerful attacks.
A fantasy-style MMORPG for the PC, Priston Tale 2: The Second Enigma is Yedang Online’s sequel to the wildly popular Priston Tale. This fantasy-style MMORPG boasts high-quality graphics realized through a combination of realistic backgrounds, fantastical characters, and spectacular combat effects – all made possible by the Unreal 2.5 Engine. The game has experienced huge success in South Korea where only three days after it launched its open beta in South Korea, Priston Tale 2’s concurrent online players reached 40,000. The game will launch in the North America later this winter.

Atlantica Online wins a top award at Chinajoy debut

Atlantica Online, the new strategic turn-based MMORPG, won a Golden Plume Award for Best Foreign Online Game. The prestigious prize was bestowed upon the best games in China by the China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (ChinaJoy) on Nov. 4 in Beijing.

Atlantica’s victory comes as the game is preparing to enter beta testing in China. Atlantica developer NDOORS Inc. signed a publishing deal with Chinese gaming leader The9, which publishes World of Warcraft in China, last April. Beta on the Chinese edition of Atlantica is expected to begin in early 2009.

“Atlantica is The9’s most anticipated title,” said Jun Zhu, CEO, The9. “The title has a great premise with its combination of reality and fantasy and the legend of Atlantis. Atlantica will make a big impact in China’s online game market, especially with its exciting turn-based battle system.”

Atlantica has already made an impression on the Chinese, who are tapping into the Atlantica action on the Korea- and U.S.-based game servers.

“It’s an honor to be awarded the prestigious Golden Plume, especially considering Atlantica has yet to launch in China,” said Cho Seong Won, CEO, NDOORS Inc., which is based in South Korea. “We can’t wait to finish the localization process and prepare new content for gamers in China. We plan on living up to the expectations, which have just been set higher by this honor.”

Atlantica has been winning other accolades in addition to the Golden Plume. In Japan, where it is being published by Nexon Japan and is in open beta, Atlantica has hit number one in a most popular games list at 4gamer.net, one of Japan’s most influential webzines. In North America, Atlantica has reached number one on MMORPG.com’s “Most Popular” list and has been the top free-to-play game for three straight months at TenTonHammer.com.

With its licensing deal with Taiwan’s leading publisher Gamania, Atlantica will be reaching four of the major gaming markets in the world.

Atlantica Online is a strategic, turn-based RPG that merges traditional RPG gameplay and heavy strategic gameplay elements with a mercenary and nation management system. The turn-based combat gives players the chance to control a party of up to nine characters. In the mercenary system, players can recruit and develop mercenaries of different classes for their combat squad. The nation management system allows guilds to plan the conquest of cities and even whole nations.
