ROHAN: BLOOD FEUD, OPEN BETA IS HERE

YNK Interactive announces the open beta date of the highly anticipated game
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – May 19th, 2008 – Online PC game publisher YNK Interactive
today announced the open beta date for their highly anticipated massively multi-player online
role-playing game, Rohan: Blood Feud (www.playrohan.com). Open beta will begin on
Tuesday, May 27th at 6:00pm PST.

“We are thrilled for the open beta to begin,” said Jun Lee, CEO for YNK Interactive. “The great
responses we received after the closed beta testing from the game’s already developed and
continuously growing community enabled us to modify the game to fit the needs of our new
market.”

With the game’s success in its Korean and Japanese versions, it was only a matter of time before
an English version would be developed and published. Rohan: Blood Feud has been fully
localized and methodically revamped to correspond with the expectations of the western market.
The game employs several unique in-game features, most notably of which include the option of
being an Assassin, access to a Hit List, and the ability to join Township Battles.

  • Assassins – Two of the six races available for play are the Dhan and Dekan, which differs
greatly from the rest as these races can work alone as renegade assassins. They are able
to kill other players for experience without being identified by their victims.
  • Hit List – Vengeance is now an option, as players can seek retribution on their enemies
with this feature. The Hit List allows players who have been murdered to record their
name and teleport to their executioner for a chance at revenge.
  • Township Battle – Guilds are able to participate in Township Battles with the objective of
becoming the town’s ruler for the week. Along with power and recognition, the winning
guild may institute taxation on all commercial exchanges within the town.

These distinct features, among others, are what set Rohan: Blood Feud apart from other
MMORPGs that are currently in the market.

Master-Apprentice System Intro

Master-Apprentice System Intro

The Master-Apprentice System is one of the best systems in Elf Online (http://elf.happymmo.com/). Both master and apprentice will benefit from this relationship. The apprentice is going to earn a lot of exp, sp, money and some items (level 20 armor chest, level 40 weapon, some plus-calcium potatoes and more); the master earns virtue points when the apprentice finishes his quests, and those points can be exchanged by sp or some items.

1) How to be a master/apprentice?
In order to have an apprentice you should be at least on 45, and your apprentice should be on any level below 40 (but the apprenticeship will last until the apprentice completes all the quests)

2) How to start a mastership/apprenticeship?
Go with your master/apprentice to Carefree (1400, 1292) or Wulong (1912, 1044) Village. You should be in a party with your master (and only with him) and the master should be the leader of the party. Talk with Muddled Doctor, click on "Establish Master-Apprentice Relationship", them will pop up to the apprentice a question, asking him if he accepts the master or not.

3) The Apprentice’s quests
There are 4 quests that the apprentice needs to do:

1- A questionnaire (at any level).
The apprentice needs to answer 5 questions. The answers of the questions are:
1)Manufacturing 2)Keen, soldier, magic, assist, control 3)Alt+H 4) this one i still dunno the answer :/ 5)30 secs

2- A questionnaire (at level 20)
The apprentice needs to answer 10 questions. The answers of the questions are:
1-sorcerer 2-1 an hour 3-1-3 higher 4-ts1 ep1 5-11 6-Control 7-phantom city 8-2 times 9-i dunno the answer 10-24 hours

3-Kill Snake King (at level 30)
The master and the apprentice must kill the snake king together (may have another ppl in the party).

4-Change Job (at level 40)
The last quest is to help the apprentice to change his job.

If you’re a new player, try to find a master, to level up quickly and earn a lot of good things.

Age of Armor Wings of Dream Now Come True

Wings of Dream Now Come True

After several weeks busy working, the Age of Armor now embraces it brand new item, wings of dream.

As the main story of Age of Armor continues, the human beings had acquired the transforming technology from the Mystery Daron Legion, and been using those tech for the domain wars of the human beings between earth and Mars, as well as driving off the Daron Legion’s invasion. While the wars continue, the technology of weapon developing also runs at it highest speed, as connecting more and more with the Daron Legion, the semi-bio-mech technology was stolen by the humans as well, with this Tec support, the human beings developed some additional enhance gears to their battle machines, as the tradition belief of the human beings, the gears are shaped as the wings of the Angel and Demon. Secret of the Solstice Review: Very Compelling Story World

Secret of the Solstice Review: Very Compelling Story World
By Joshua Temblett (Dontkillmydreams), OnRPG Journalist

I stood there, gazing in wonder at my first spoil from battle. I smiled, as I had just avoided death, in all its hatred. A sense of purpose filled my aching bones, a sense of something, and a sense of everything. As I stood there, absorbing my newly gained confidence, a beggar ran up to me. He pleaded with me for the potato that I was grasping so tightly between my fingers. I stared at him, and then, without uttering one word, I gave the reward I fought so hard to earn to this total stranger. He thanked me and I’ll never forget his last words before he teleported off, never to be seen by me again: “I’ll always remember you, thank you”.

That was indeed my first true experience with Secret of the Solstice (SOS) and the fondest memory I’ve ever had playing a MMORPG. Whilst the market remains saturated with these titles, it is very refreshing to see such a game as this, and it is equally amazing to see such a good and strong community within such a good looking and perfected game. Every moment I played this game was full of sheer joy.

SOS Gameplay

The gameplay may not be revolutionary (and when you do dig deep down and peel the skin off this hardcore grinding game you’ll see its pretty average) there is something about this opus that is very mesmerising. For you see SOS is very neatly packaged. The graphics are utterly superb, despite the fact that the trees and long grass are very solid and stable (some movement would add to the utter awe of the beautifully illustrated world), the environment does well to immerse you in the game without effort. Style also oozes out from the corners of this piece of interactive media, which adds to the overall peaceful charm of the game. After all, if you’re going to spend time in such a great world as this, you do need something good to look at.

And you will be spending a lot of time in Secret of the Solstice. There is something very compelling about the world this game inhabits. Whilst the storyline may not be enough to motivate you, and the consent need for levelling up may well drag you down to a realm of concavity (providing you don’t like the idea of fighting evil bunny rabbits all day), a spark does remain in this epilogue of adventure. This spark is something I have never seen before and to put my finger onto what fuels the spark would be utterly blockheaded as there is no definite answer as to what makes this game tick and indeed tock.

Starting Up

You’ll start off the game carrying out chores around the main town and yes I know, if you don’t want to wash up the dishes and unblock the toilet in real life, why would you want to do it in a game? The chores are very helpful though, as they’ll send you scurrying around town and in the meantime, helping you understand the layout of the town, which will be very helpful in the long run. Once you get to level 10 (just to clarify, the chores you accomplish around town don’t revolve around cleaning toilets), you’ll be free to run around and do what you please, whether that be going outside and ripping the local fiends limb from limb, or completing some quests to get some hard earned cash. When you hit the level 16 benchmark, all that gallivanting will stop (only if you want it to), as you’ll have an important decision to make as to what class you’ll honour with your grace. There are four classes to choose from: Squire, Apprentice, Neophyte and Acolyte, Squire and Neophyte being melee based and Apprentice and Acolyte being more spell based respectably. From there on a world of constant levelling awaits you as this game well and truly does prove to be for the hardcore. That’s not to say though that casual gamers are left out, as you won’t be, but just be wary of the levelling required to get anywhere in this game.

You will generally have a lot of fun (and make a vast amount of friends) in this volume of media but at the same time not so extreme MMORPG players may get a feeling of exasperation as no matter how hard you keep reaching for those beacons that grace you with more experience, you’ll always know that once you finally reach that one level you’ve been aiming for the past couple of days, you just have to start all over again and reach the same aim, of levelling up. The levelling in itself isn’t too bad; it’s just there is only one set of armour and one spell every couple of levels, meaning that in between reaching the required levels for new armour, there is essentially nothing to do but grind. Constant levelling may be considered the bee’s knees for some (And that’s why this game suits purists of the genre) however for those of us weak of heart, this can be an extreme push away.

That aside, does Secret of the Solstice help you make that big decision of what game to grace with your skills in a drenched market? Yes it does. Whilst originality and variety may not be the high point of this wonderful story, the constant events, the gorgeous community and the perfected music and presentation of this quaint interactive page turner are very much in place and will drag you back time and time again to finish your narration.

PK Rules Changed & Captain Li Comes Back!

After patch 5022 released, many people suggest changing the PK rules and restoring Captain Li. We have taken them into serious consideration and made some changes. It will work after the server maintenance on 9th, May.

1. Punishment for PKers is even more serious than before. So, PKers should be more aware of the punishment when they are killed. Also, those who killed the red/black names will get more rewards for justice. Of course, if nobody catches you, then there is no punishment for murder at all!

When red/black-named players are killed, they will be sent to jail.

Red name: Pay 4, 000, 000 silvers for release

Black name (PK Points below 300): pay 108 cps for release

Black name (PK Points over 300): pay 540 cps for release

2. Captain Li will be restored. So, the PK jail will return to be a gathering place. Hope you will enjoy it.

Note: If the red/black name pays the recognizance to get out of the jail, the one who killed him/her will get the recognizance as reward.

Dungeon Runner adds another ‘Chunk’, adding membership benefits and heaps of new content

NCsoft has released Chunk 3, a content update for Dungeon Runners, a free-to-play and download game where players’ rampage through satire drenched dungeons destroying monsters and collecting loot. Chunk 3 includes beefed up membership benefits, a variety of new skills, quests, player versus player (PvP) system improvements and quality of life enhancements.

Chunk 3 makes being a Dungeon Runners Member much more beneficial compared to non-Members. Currently, the Membership level costs $4.99 per month and includes advertisement-free play, an exclusive server, extensive potion stacking, larger bank storage and access to the most powerful items, weapons and armor. With the release of Chunk 3, Membership level players are granted a fifteen percent experience (XP) boost over free players, and they will gain fifteen percent more gold. Additionally, Members will receive discounts when using “Kings Coin” to purchase items, receive more mythic and rare items drops compared to non-Members, and receive additional bank pages at level 50 and level 100.

“It is important that the membership level players get great value from their financial commitment to Dungeon Runners, regardless of the fact that anyone can be a monthly Member for the cost of a latte,” said Stephen Nichols NCsoft’s producer and lead programmer for Dungeon Runners. “Dungeon Runners continues to great game to play for free because of its robust content features you would find in most full-priced MMOGs, and with this Chunk, we have greater content coming out including quite a few highly requested PvP improvements and a set of fun and funny skills. This Chunk is also is paving the way to the cool features coming up this summer with the release of the Dungeon Runners retail pack which will include the enigmatic Bling Gnome.”

The Bling Gnome is sidekick that will summon a gnomish gangster creature who can pick up all your gold for quick storage, and can even convert nearby loot into gold. However, the Bling Gnome will only be available for those that purchase the Dungeon Runners retail pack, which will be on store shelves later this year.

Dungeon Runners’ PvP battles will now be more profitable for winners (and losers) with winners receiving three Kings Coin and losers receiving one. Additionally, the PvP brawls will be tracked and recorded on an XML data feed where players can view their battle stats in bracketed leader boards based on rating as well as win-count. Also, Chunk 3 improves PvP matchmaking and balance to make sure battles are fair and easy to start.

Chunk 3 also adds five new skills for players to master including “Barf-O-Rama” which upgrades poison ranged skills. Each time an enemy takes poison damage from a player’s poison ranged skills “Barf-O-Rama” improves the chance that enemies will become ill and start barfing. Once an enemy starts to barf, other nearby enemies may get disgusted and start barfing too. Each barfing enemy will take poison damage over time and may also get knocked back due to their heaving. We’ve also added some item-specific skills, like “Dark Conniption”, which requires a shield, and “Shiver Shot”, which requires a ranged weapon.

The new content expansion also adds quests to the Shadow’s Embrace and Balzack’s Burrow dungeons as well as an improved social window, a “Noob” Channel and a variety of balance improvements, weapons, armor and loot. Chunk 3 also features revisions to tutorial and new player area quests. Some of the new weapons and armor sets have upgraded particle effects. Finally, every time a quest is completed a “15% More Cowbell” modifier is granted, which increases the experience earned by killing monsters by fifteen percent for five minutes.
