Atlantica Online Heads To ijji.com

ijji.com continues its quest to bring first-rate, hardcore interactive entertainment to its free-to-play online gaming portal through a partnership with online game publishing giant NDOORS Interactive, the U.S. subsidiary of Korea-based NDOORS Corporation. ijji.com community members can now add the seven world wonders, among other locations, to their playing experience as they navigate the popular massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG), Atlantica Online.

“Atlantica Online is an immersive, award-winning MMORPG that incorporates both mythological and real-life locations, and a great fit for the ijji.com community,” said Philip Yun, CEO, NHN USA.  “In our mission to further ijji.com as the premier free-to-play portal for hardcore gamers, we seek out games like this that effortlessly draw players deep into alternative worlds. NDOORS is a seasoned leader in online entertainment and we are thrilled to partner with them to increase the monster quotient of our portal.”
Atlantica Online is a strategic turn-based MMORPG that combines innovative combat with profound character and party development, as well as city and country management. Players take on the physically and mentally demanding quest to destroy the Oriharukon, a powerful energy source from the lost civilization of Atlantis.  This dangerous element survived the demise of the “Lost City,” and its rampant spread is quickly endangering humanity. The epic journey takes players to some of the most historic and exotic locations around the globe, such as the Great Wall of China and the enormous pyramids of Egypt, in addition to places long lost in mythology.  Along the way, they will come face-to-face with vicious monsters ripped from history and lore, such as the ruthless Egyptian Pharaoh, Khufu, and Transylvania’s bloodthirsty villain, Dracula.

“You can’t help but want to get involved with an online gaming portal like ijji.com that immediately puts a game in front of 8 million avid fans,” said Peter Kang, CEO, NDOORS Interactive.  “We are committed to expanding our community base and implementing powerful partnerships like this one with ijji.com in order to continue our aggressive expansion plans.”

Runes Of Magic: New Classed

Along with the release of the second chapter of Runes of Magic ‘The Elven Prophecy’ the secretive Elves will appear for the first time in September as a playable race in the world of Taborea. The publisher Frogster is presenting two Elf classes today, the close combat class of ‘Warden’ and the magical class, ‘Druid’ and in doing so gives a first glimpse of the mysterious woodland folk.
Both classes are defined by their close connection with nature, which in turn also has a direct influence on the Elves’ special abilities. Thus the Wardens have the power to call upon the power of nature spirits and can connect with the woodland plants which in turn strengthen them with the power of the forest. They therefore always fight with side by side with a companion of plant origin which channels its power to support the Warden. Thanks to his companion, the Warden can be highly adaptable in the most diverse of combat situations.

In contrast, the Druid’s abilities are at first glance similar to those of the human Mage, but they are, however, not confined to destructive magical powers. They possess in fact a multitude of attack methods and healing spells. A particular unique strength they have is the ability to harness ‘Nature’s Power’. The Druid collects the power in his body during combat and this then brings about special effects which cause many abilities to be strengthened. Furthermore he has versatile magic at his command in the areas of healing, support and combat and rules over various elements.

Both Elf classes have numerous different skills which define them not only as dangerous adversaries, but also useful group members. For example, the Warden can cast thorny vines around opponents, which deliver physical damage every second, whereas the Druid in a group situation can raise the speed of attack for the group members for a given period.

After opening the box, I knew that I was in for a treat. I was itching for combat the moment I read the package info. “This isn’t your grandmother’s mouse” they said. Just the price alone can verify that this isn’t the type of mouse my grandmother would buy in the first place.

The Razer Lachesis is one of the first Razer mice to ever get a high precision laser sensor. This makes it easier for the mouse to satisfy even the highest of sensitivity type gamers. Upon plugging it on to my PC, the swarming light dazzled me back to my gaming zen. It was as though the mouse was yearning for combat as well.

Razer Lachesis

The grip is definitely not claw-friendly and would only optimize usage if ever you’re used to putting your hands flat around the mouse. The response time is just crazy, as though the mouse or the character you’re playing is an extension of your body. Despite these gracious benefits however, I wasn’t quite fond of the high precision movement. Even with the lowest sensitivity, the mouse tends to move around when I turn up the volume (or in this case, the bass). If this was truly a game enhancing mouse, then perhaps it would’ve been better if it didn’t limit me from jerking up the volume. The mouse detects movement or even the slightest vibrations. Even if you were to hold the mouse down, the Lachesis will still do rapid motions upon detecting your vibrating surface.

One of the best features of the Razer Lachesis would be its onboard memory. This lets you mess around with the settings that are saved on to your mouse, letting you plug and play without having to go through the tiring aspect of reconfiguration.

All in all, the Razer Lachesis is still one of the best gaming mice around. If you were gonna play it on a rig that’s next to a large bass buffer then I suggest getting another table for that. With a high precision 4000 Dpi sensor, the mouse lets you keep smooth tracking regardless of resolution or highspeed movement. Definitely not something for your grandmother.
