Dungeon Fighter Online offers up big changes—that promise even bigger victories for all our Dungeon Fighters—with its Dawn of Retribution update, which launched today.

This new update to the game’s open beta features three major game play changes, as well as Christmas events to celebrate the holiday season.

 

Players may now enjoy faster leveling, easier dungeons and an improved, revamped tutorial as part of this update. A newly implemented experience curve allows players to make more rapid progress through the game, opening up more quests, more dungeons and more skills even sooner than before. The difficulty level has been brought down for some of the creatures in the lower leveled dungeons so as to aid beginning Dungeon Fighters. An added benefit to players just starting out in the Land of Arad are enhanced lessons from Seria and Linus, two important NPCs (non-playing characters) who all Dungeon Fighters meet at the beginning of their adventures in the game.

 

 

On top of these improvements, players can take part in the holiday spirit with the Holly Jolly DFO Christmas Celebration. From Dec. 16 to January 5, players will be singing, “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow.” Every day for one randomly selected hour, a nice, crisp layer of soft powder will fall on the land. When it does, players will receive a 20 percent EXP bonus when clearing dungeons. Seria has decorated her sanctuary for Christmas, spreading holiday cheer to the dungeon fighters that visit her. 

 

After visiting Seria, players venture into the dungeons hunting for the Christmas goblins who robbed the respected citizens of Arad of their Christmas knickknacks. One particular goblin, Snowblin, also drops the special Snowball item. This throwing item delivers water damage and could freeze an opponent…or fellow partymates, if it isn’t used with precision.

 

 

Just In Time For The Holidays, Cross Fire Introduces Latest Update Featuring New Christmas Weapons, Maps And More!  

 

Cross Fire announced today that it has launched a merry new Christmas patch.  The update includes a number of Christmas weapons and items, two new maps and a new playable character.  Players can download Cross Fire for free! 

 

Just in time for the holidays, G4BOX Inc. has released an exciting new free Christmas update for Cross Fire!  The patch, which is available now, features a number of Christmas weapons and items including a Santa hat and beard and four limited time Christmas-themed weapons: an AWM-Adv, a Glock-18, an M4A1 and a Christmas combat-axe.  The patch will also feature two new maps – the snipers-only “Prison”, and a limited time only Christmas map. All this, in addition to an all-new class of playable mercenary, the prestigious GSG-9!

 

Along with the update, G4BOX Inc. is hosting a week-long Christmas in-game event called “Crimson Snow”, starting December 18th and ending Christmas Eve, December 24th. Players who play Cross Fire for 2 hours will receive 2000 GP, per day played. Playing for two hours will not only net players the additional GP, but they will also be entered automatically into a daily draw for a free in-game Santa hat. On the last day of the event, Christmas Eve, Z8Games will be drawing three grand prizes, consisting of a permanent Christmas AWM, 100,000 GP (Game Points), and 10 Christmas ZP crates. Throughout the event, Cross Fire GMs can also be spotted playing random matches. If players manage to beat the GM team, they will receive an additional 5000 GP for that match!

 

Cross Fire is a free online military first-person shooter for Windows PCs supporting Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.  Players assume the role of either a Black List or Global Risk operative and compete in various modes of play including Free-for-All, Team Death Match and the exclusive stealth-action ghost mode. Cross Fire includes a military ranking system, in-game friends lists, an integrated clan system, and deep character customization options.  Cross Fire is part of the Z8Games platform of free-to-play games.

 

 

 

Applications are now open for the Windows beta test of Final Fantasy XIV!

 

You must have a Square Enix account to submit an application for the beta. If you’re one of the lucky applications that gets selected, you’ll be notified via e-mail.

 

As we’ve heard before, the beta will grow, adding more and more people each round. If your application is not selected for the first round, don’t lose hope! You will still be eligible for other rounds of the beta testing phase! Those that are selected at any point during the beta testing phase will be able to continue to participate until the end of the beta test.

Christmas comes but once a year! Now that the festive season is truly upon us! By the time when white snow begins to fall, happy Christmas carols everywhere, Santa Claus will be riding on his sleigh, bringing you wonderful gifts! However, to get the presents, you have to do Santa some small favors. Don’t worry, it won’t be difficult!

This year’s Christmas event consists of 5 individual quests, in which players will help Santa Claus to capture the gift thieves; deliver Christmas gifts to residents in Cronus City; beat up some villains who try to sabotage the festive season, and make a giant Christmas snowman.

 

By doing these amusing quests, players can expect to obtain Exp, God’s Blessing, and other various prizes, plus feeling the warm Christmas spirit!

Choosing the right equipment is critical when encountering diverse types of enemies. Now the new Alternative Equipment  system will provide CO players with a flexible solution for changing gear on the fly. The system will make its debut in CO on Dec 21st with the Texas Hold’em.

 

 

The Alternative Equipment system enables players to prepare 2 sets of gear at the same time, one for leveling and the other for PKing (for example) and switch between the 2 sets freely. In the new equipment interface, there will be a spare equipment interface under the main one. Just click Switch Button, and then you can setup your spare equipment. When the setup is finished, you can drag the Switch Button to the shortcut bar and change your gear flexibly in combat
