Dragon Nest Previews Scarlet Snow Update
Dragon Nest Previews Scarlet Snow Update
Turns out Nexon America had a special reason to get players to log-in to their game today for special prizes in their popular Online Action RPG, Dragon Nest. Their homepage has revealed details on their next update, Scarlet Snow, and believe me when I say it’s something to get excited for.
As Scarlet Snow enters Dragon Nest, the level cap will be increased to 40, which means a deluge of new challenges awaits you! Head to Saint’s Haven and explore two new nests and dungeons, hop aboard all-new mounts, and of course take the time to soak up the seasonal decorations, events, and costumes.
Of course with the level cap increase you can expect all the bells and whistles, with new weapons and armor as well as new ultimate skills to unlock. Trainer Lindsay will also be making her appearance and offering the Ebony Thunder and Snow Breeze mounts for the very first time.
Of course it wouldn’t be a snowy update without holiday themes decorating every town. Hang out with your friends, show off one of the new holiday themed level 30 fashion sets, and join in for three new Scarlet Snow events!
Be sure to check out the newly released Producer Preview for all the details!

League of Legends Previews Ahri, The Nine-Tailed Fox
League of Legends Previews Ahri, The Nine-Tailed Fox
After the teaser image sitting on Riot Games’ League of Legends page for months, League of Legends is now in the final stages of preparing the release of Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox. Ahri is a highly anticipated champion by both Naruto fans and fans of large breasted women alike. Now we have a general idea of what she is going to be capable of.
Her core mechanic seems to be an ultimate that allows her to dash around the battlefield quickly, but only three times before going on cool-down. This seems to combine well with a second ability that does more damage the closer you are to the target when using it. In essence there is a bit of a risk similar to LeBlanc who has to physically flash to and from an enemy to deal damage. Players will have to make high risk decisions of whether to use her ultimate to go for the kill, or save it and play safe to ensure an easy escape if necessary.
Her Seduction skill is meant to round out her kit with some further defensive capabilities by locking a foe in place for a period of time. Using this along with her super mobility will be idea for catching injured foes that attempt to flee from a losing team fight.
DC Universe Online Releases Flash Themed DLC
DC Universe Online Releases Flash Themed DLC
Sony Online Entertainment proudly released their second DLC for DC Universe Online this week, focusing on a storyline revolving around The Flash.
In Lightning strikes, players go on a ridiculous trip through time, courtesy of The Flash running on a “Cosmic Treadmill” (read in epic deep narrator voice of course!). You can team up with your favorite sidekick friend and go back in time to the very day that The Flash was struck by lightning and gained his super hero powers. This involves battling through a twisted time portal against a barrage of electric minions and a showdown with the Pied Piper who has taken control of a heavily armored police station to stop you from completing your mission.
In addition, a new zone with loads of quests for heroes and villains alike is opening up, as well as access to a new lightning power set featuring both DPS and healing capabilities. Look forward to hunting the Teen Titans or The Rogues depending on your alignment in this great content expansion.
Be sure to check out the Lightning Strikes DLC Trailer to see The Flash in action before making your purchase.

Dragona Global Testing Begins December 8th
Dragona Global Testing Begins December 8th
The long wait is soon to be over as GameClub prepares to publish an English based global version of the epic Dragon Transformation MMORPG, Dragona Online.
In Dragona players fight to protect Magic Earth on behalf of the Goddess of Light Huanis and her five dragon lords. A dark dragon known as Jurtan once attempted to destroy the world and prophecy foresees coming darkness and the resurrection of Jurtan himself!

However the real legacy of Dragona comes with an amazing Open PvP sytem and the ability of players to transform, either partially or fully, into dragons! Partial transformation gives players a boost to power while still maintaining the use of their class skills, while full transformations sacrifice these skills to unleash the full power of the dragon.
Players will also be able to take part in epic alliance versus alliance battles in the open world, spanning for three days and keeping players on their toes.
GameClub is celebrating their initial beta test by offering rewards to players for both leveling and for finding game bugs. Game bugs that are found and confirmed will award players various amounts of bug points with the winners receiving mounts, pet bags, and pet skills! Players who choose to race to the top will also be rewarded for being among the first to hit level 30 and level 35. Players to win this race can expect reinforcement stones for upgrading gear as well as mounts, pet slots, and more!
To sign up for beta today and learn more about the game, check out their newly launched website HERE.

8Realms: Time Waits for No One
8Realms: Time Waits for No One
By Remko Molenaar (Proxzor), OnRPG Journalist
8Realms is an empire building massively multiplayer online strategy game developed by the well-known Jagex Games Studio. Jagex is best known for their title RuneScape which is one of the largest F2P MMORPGs on the market today, and I got the chance to test out their first MMORTS pre-Closed beta.
As soon as I made my village I got into a small tutorial that teaches you multiple actions, at first I had to fend off some evil barbarians that felt like burning my upcoming village. After I saved my village from burning to the ground I could finally rebuild my settlement. One of the first goals was to build a farm. I immediately notice that building settlements takes real life time. As every empire building game I have reviewed thus far does this, I didn’t expect anything. The time left is shown above the settlement which will help you in planning future expansions for your village, and ticks away while you’re offline so you don’t have to stay on the game for hours to complete major projects.
While doing the first couple of necessary tasks I got to learn how the interface works. On the top right of your screen you can find the current income per hour for your village. Other useful tidbits of information available include the population of your village, food income, stone income, wood income and gold production. This helps greatly with forecasting resource collection so you know how long to wait before you need to sign in and begin a major construction project. In the top left of your screen you can find the notifications tab; in this tab you can find the recent activities that you and your village have done. In this same region of the UI you will also find your friends tab, research tab, and project progression tab.
The goal in this game is fairly simple, build up your own empire and compete against friends and foes to become one of the biggest empires in your guild. Through the game you have multiple ages that you go through, giving a real sense of accomplishment while keeping the game fresh. The Task menu keeps you up to date so you know the most important projects in your empire and what needs to be dealt with in your current playing session.
After expanding my village and upgrading some of the settlements it was finally time to have revenge on those evil barbarians that burned down my village. I trained some courageous spearman and sent them off venturing into unknown lands to end their miserable barbarous lives. They came back successfully and I felt much better to know that these evil maniacs that burned down my village were no threat to me anymore. Of course there would be more barbarian raids in the future, but this time I was ready.
Conclusion
Jagex again show’s off their development quality by making this game feel rock solid. This is the first MMORTS to keep me occupied for some time; the game feels fresh despite my experience with so many browser based RTS that came before it. The art work in this game is really top notch and makes every project completion feel special. Unfortunately I did feel I was missing some sort of chat function but I am sure this will be added in the future. The game is now in closed testing so be sure to drop by OnRPG’s events page to get into the game and nab your own custom OnRPG flag. You won’t want to miss trying this out as it has the potential to become one of the greatest MMORTS games of all time!
